I can book 8/18 also. If anyone can book on 8/17 please let us know the available dates. Thanks!

Many hospitals are 1/2 empty and are laying off staff.
That is because the hospitals are not doing elective procedures. That is why people are being laid off.

Just for arguments sake, if you got the vaccine, why would you be in harms way by others that didn't get the vaccine?
The people in the health system would have to take care of, and be overburdened by them. I would be OK.

Assuming a Covid-19 vaccine becomes available, (which is by no means a certainty) do you think Carnival might require proof of vaccination to permit you to board? It would make a lot of sense from their liability standpoint. Having an coronavirus outbreak onboard is their worst case scenario. But there are a lot of those anti-vax people around and no doubt some of them are cruisers. They would not be happy about such a development.
Let the anti vaxers stay at home so they won't harm others.

This is correct. The offer would clearly state for you and one guest if it was for both of you
Is it an Elite Cruise? That gives drinks anywhere on the ship.

My cruise was cancelled on the Radiance in July and it was booked with Casino Players Club. Can I transfer my casino deal with the Fcc?
Yes

No - with today's update nothing has been provided about Alaska and if you ask Carnival they just reply with a canned response.
I don't blame the social media / customer service reps but the execs need to do a better job.
Alaska cruises seem to have been removed from Carnival site - my June 9 out of Seattle doesn't show up anymore.
The least they can do is provide some update as to what they are planning. Truthfully though, even if they somehow do sail - I would rather pass. Don't want to be around so many people just yet - all it takes is one straggler who is positive for the virus to restart the whole thing...
Thanks. I thought I missed something. When do you think they'll tell us???? It's like they are ignoring it.

Carnival's decision on Alaska is now backed up until March 30. I have a cruise booked from SF June 8 so I will be watching for it to be cancelled.
Has a decision been made on Alaska? I have one booked for June 8.

I just booked a casino offer that included booze anywhere on the ship!
That would be an Elite.

FWIW you can't book any sailings to Alaska on the Carnival website until July. If you search for an Alaskan cruise in April, May or June you get a message that "There aren't any cruises with the details you searched for
I was told by my PVP that an announcement will be made on Friday.

Carnival just mailed out Elite Cruise offers for the Fall into next year. Booking starts on 3/19 and ends on 4/27.
Thanks for that info. Maybe they will let me rebook the one they will cancel because it was supposed to stop in Vancover.

You will not see the OBC listed for this. It will show up on your account once you are the ship.
Just be patient! Carnival phone lies are SWAMPED right now.

Tell them when you order their meals that they want the adult portions. They will just charge your account. Not a problem

This happened to us for our upcoming December 2020 cruise on the Breeze (St. Maarten, St. Kitts, San Juan, Grand Turk). Received the notice on 9/24/19. St. Maarten and St. Kitts were reversed. There were zero excursions shown for either port for several months. They have recently started listing excursions for those two ports, but not many. They've also started adding additional excursions for San Juan. If your cruise is still several months out like mine, it's very possible that the excursions will eventually start posting on the website. I'm going to hold off for awhile, and keep checking back. I've checked outside snorkeling/beach excursion companies for our day in St. Kitts (Blue Water Safaris Catamaran) So far, it's a no-go. Their website shows no excursions for our day there. Maybe they will open that day for bookings when they get word of the itinerary change? The cruise ships port schedules website still shows our original itinerary, 5 months after the change!
Have you been to St Kitts before? If not, I suggest Thenford Gray Tours. Great overview of the island.

If anyone is staying at the Best Western Plus BWI Airport-Arundel Mills, I would like to know how the shuttle service is to and from the cruise terminal when delays like this happen.
Don't know about Arundel but at another BW the shuttle driver is in contact with the port and leaves when it gets the OK. Has happened to me before.

We're on the Sunrise Journeys to Bermuda, HMC, and Nassau sailing on May 25. It's our first time visiting New York, Bermuda, and HMC. I have also seen the negative reviews about the crowds and lines on the Lido, but we're hoping it won't be that bad on a 9-day.
I usually get up early enough on sea days that I get my huevos rancheros and arepas fix before most people are up and around, but we might try the MDR for lunch - something we've never done - to avoid the buffet swarm.
We're just really excited to visit places we've never been. We're even spending an extra few days in NYC see Lady Liberty, WTC Memorial, ESB, the Rock, Central Park, etc.
Go to the Sea Day Brunch.

Are the drinks
free for the whole trip in the casino? Is there a limit, or is it just as long as you’re playing?
Of course there is a limit.

We planned a cruise with the Grandkids. Although we ended up booking for Nassau and Princess Cay and not Half Moon Cay. I have a few questions.
- Can you go out side of Princess Cay and see more of the island?
I did, but that was on a Princess cruise.

I am going on one in June. My niece lives in SF. I will stay with her and visit the new baby before my Ultra cruise
Can't wait!

I am confused. If I have a passport do I need a real ID to fly? and WHY?

On the Sunshine, our steward did not show up to clean our cabin until 2 or 3 pm. Then we had evening service a few hours later.
We must have been the last on his list. Despite us being gone all morning, he’d show up later and we’d have to leave. I never asked him to change the time because I didn’t want to mess up his schedule however it just didn’t work for us at all.
When the steward shows up to introduce him or herself, would it be inappropriate for me to ask that the cabin be cleaned as early as possible, like one of the first cabins?
Has anyone done this?
No I haven't . I have my cabin made up once a day while I am out to dinner. I like to sleep in late and not be disturbed.
