I LOVED the bands at disney sooo convenient! I even said after using them that it would be great for cruising because no more keeping track is your key or finding cards for payment. It's just a flick if the wrist. Plus they were waterproof. If they are anything like disney's they will be great. Not sure why they are charging $2 a person for them though...

I don't know about size difference but the solarium is open to everyone. You don't reserve lounges there. It's first come first served

From the reviews I have read in the past, it may say it dispenses all of those flavors, but the machine is usually out by the third day or so of the cruise and never refilled. Is this still true?
On our May 2013 allure cruise some flavors ran out but we would come back in a couple hours and they had been refilled.

We had a connecting room on the allure. Could we hear our neighbors..sometimes. Was it so loud it was annoying... Never. They never kept us up or woke us up. No louder than hearing noise in the hall way at a hotel

I hope that works for you- I think prices may be crazy that week because it's so called "jersey week". The kids in NJ have something like 3 or 4 days out 5 days off because of professional conferences for the teachers and a ton of families take trips then because it's cheaper than Thanks giving, winter break or spring break.:( but yeah, 2k for an interior cabin is whacked!
It's only 2 days (Thursday/Friday) and it's usually the second week in November.

I love watching us pull into port from our balcony! I order room service coffee and stay in my pajamas and enjoy the sunrise while DH sleeps. And DH loves sitting under the stars at night while I layout the things we need for the next day.

That is totally ridiculous on RCl's part. RCL cheerleaders stand down from this particular situation.
I understand having to protect the company from lawsuit on someone that is pregnant who may not be in a safe condition to travel, and that is why RCL carries the "24 month" policy, but for someone that just found out, thats ridiculous and shame on you.
"24 WEEKS"... 24 MONTHS is a long time to be pregnant! But got your point lol

I had a drink if the day once that was totally undrinkable!!! I don't remember what it was but it was blue and tasted like strait alcohol. The plan was to drink it on my balcony but I went down the drain instead lol

So this is probably a very silly question but when we on on the Allure in May 2013 we had a balcony and LOVED having breakfast and snacks on the balcony.
Looking into booking another Caribbean cruise but I have heard here on CC that not all ships have the same height table as the Allure does. That they are low like coffee/side tables.
Can anyone tell me what ships HAVE regular height tables on the balconies.
Granted the tables height doesn't out rank the itinerary but I would like to know so I'm not disappointed. Thnx

Allure may 2013 they were plastic and not any cheaper in generic glass. (Which was real glass)

We brought our own plastic insulated water bottles that we could refill and bring onshore with us at ports. Plus to pool and around the ship

Just so you know this thread will be pulled. Rules say not to list any travel booking agents.

When we went in May 2013 I noticed that the aqua theatre had several rows reserved for those with a gold card (aka suites) in the main theatre we noticed they had alcoves with high tables and chairs reserved for suite guests. Didn't notice anything in the ice show. We were not in a suite so we didn't have access to anything but this is what I observed on our cruise

Your screen name is couple_cruisers. I assume you cruised with someone. Was it your spouse or SO?
If so, have they sailed with Royal Caribbean before? Do they have 26 points?
It may be the case that your Crown & Anchor accounts are linked and you're seeing their point total instead of your own. The web site will normally display the highest point total of the linked accounts within your household (spouse/SO and children under 18) on each of the accounts.
Yes I traveled with my husband. It was both our first time on RCI. So neither of us had any previous cruise points. I checked my account and it doesnt seem like he is linked. Even if he was linked it should only be 14 points then. (7nights in a balcony each =14pts)
So....I guess it is just a glitch and Ill have to wait to see if it is still there later.
On a different note. My account is in my maidan name, does anyone know how I change my name because if I book another cruise my name on my account would not match my travel docs (ie passport)
Also how do i link my DH. I have his C&A but it wont let me link him....I get a error message about trying to link another adult to my account. Anyone know.
Thanks!

We never had trouble finding a chair at any time of day on the allure. Might not be close to the pool (usually we were up a deck) but always chairs around!!!

I have been on one RCI cruise. (7 night allure may 2013). Couple days ago I get mail saying I'm close to becoming the next level???? The mail says I have 26 pts. Im thinking it just a mis print so I go online and sign into my account and again it says 26pts. But under my cruise history it only lists the one 7 night cruise. Is just a bizarre glitch in my favor?
Not complaining just not sure how this happened lol

hi, ive never gone to mdr for lunch or breakfast, excuse my ignorance but is that the same place you have dinner at night?
Yup. But you don't sit at your dinner table. They will walk you to any open table.

Comparing ship Freedom/Liberty/Adventure?
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted · Edited by couple_cruisers
Hello! I hope that you insightful people might be able to help me.
Background on me: I have cruised once with Royal before for our honeymoon in 2013 on the Allure. We are looking now at summer 2016 and very excited that they finally released a schedule!! When looking for a ship we are looking for fun activities, night life and over all appearance. We are not much into paying extra for food so the food venues do not make much of a difference for us.
With that being said some cruises that we are looking at are: The Liberty out of Texas, The Freedom out of Florida, and the Adventure out of Peutro rico. I have started doing some research on the different ships and I can not find any huge difference between them. This is what I have come up with.
The Freedom and the Liberty are both in the Freedom class and are identical ships. They are mini versions of the Oasis class. They both have solarium, flowrider, rockwall, ice rink, mini golf, boxing rink. They both have dinning room, windjammer, Jade (this is free?), promenade cafe, Website says that updates to stateroom are coming soon. When?
For the Adventure it is in the Voyager class and it seems to be the same as the Freedom class again but just a bit smaller. Still has solarium, rockwall, ice rink, mini golf, basketball, ** no flowrider** Food wise they have the same free options (do they have a pizza place like sorentos on the Allure/Freedom?). It says on the website that the staterooms have been update with flat screens and such.
So my question is what do you think of these ships? How are the staterooms? How is the ship? Do you like the layouts? This may seem like a crazy question but what kind of tables are on the balconies? On the Allure it was a small table up it was regular height so we could eat breakfast out there. Which was one of our favorite things the whole trip! Is there anything that you should add that I should know about any of these ships?
Thanks for you help and sorry about the book I just wrote lol
