  1. Passionate, well informed, scrupulously honest, good business man, photographer, you tube aficionado, proud father whose son just graduated from Uni in Australia. Proud Vietnamese.

We were lucky enough to have him for 2 days of private touring in Jan 2011. Highly recommended . You will find references to him all over trip advisor.

I just toured with my senior. We had Zoom in Saigon ( HCMC ). The impression he left us with was his interpretation of the social changes after years of war in VN. He took hundreds of photos of us, burnt on discs, and even surprised me with his numberous pieces of English writing on Vietnam.

  2. He just posted one last weekend (17-June date stamp, I think) capturing what crossing the street is like at the Chinatown markets. I'm the guy in the first minute of the video asking "Is that durian?"

(Man, I had a lot of fun seeing the city with Zoom.)

Time passes and the danger of crossing streets in Vietnam especially Saigon increasing now, Sep. 2012.

  3. We have booked a cruise to Asia in March next year on Celebrity Millenium.

Starting in Hong Kong, 3 port stops in Vietnam (Hanoi/Halong Bay, Hue/Danang/Chan May, Ho Chi Min/Phu My), then to Bangkok, then ending in Singapore.

Has any experience of this cruise itinarary? Only we are a bit concerned now to read that all the ports seem very far away from the places of interest and sometold us that the ports themselves are very ugly i.e. container docks.

    Thank you.

Phu My port make people suffer bad road first before connecting the so-called Highway 51 for Saigon.

Driving time is kind of boring but, one good point is recently, thanks to new road completion, driving time is #30 minutes shorter than it used to be.
