Hi, looking for some guidance . We dock at BICT on 21th Oct'23 and looking to go to Lone Pine Sanctuary but pick up the Mirimar Ferry at Cultural Centre Public Pontoon, Cultural Centre Boardwalk, South Brisban. If I'm correct we dock on the Northside. Does anyone have any suggestions how we get there or how old it will take. Not sure if a shuttle bus will be operational. Many thanks.

Hi there, My husband and I will be on the above cruise from Melbourne to New Zealand and I'm trying to find a Roll Call for fellow passengers but don't seem to be able to find one. I'm not finding the Cruise Critics site very 'user friendly' so maybe it's operators problem on my part. Can anyone be of assistance? thanks in advance.

Thanks for that. Being new to this site I'm not to sure of how it works, not very user friendly. I'll try and post it on roll call.

Hi borasue, thanks for your reply. Good information. I think that we are going to go ahead with a trip to Santorini with 'Santorini Tour Guides'. Trip Advisor reviews under 'Santorinis Private Day tours by Kostas' seem very good. We are looking for 2 people to share with us, so if anyone is reading this and are interested please contact me on mags58@ntlworld.com. thanks again.

We did a Med cruise last September and I booked private tours for all ports. In Katakolon, based on CC recommendations, Rick Steves & TripAdvisor, we booked a semi-private tour (up to 25 people) "Olympic Experience." While we booked thru OlympicTraveller.com with Christos Dorziotis, others booked the same tour thru OlympicTours.gr with Niki Vlachou. It was a great experience, our guide Ioanna was wonderful, and the tour included a great lunch buffet at a local restaurant with wine, all for approx $75 per person, plus ticket costs of $10; a comparable HAL tour was $145 p/p.
We also used the same company for tours in Athens (recommend) and Santorini (would not recommend).
Hi there, my husband and I are looking to do a private/semi private tour whilst in Santorini on 08/06/2016 on Celebrity Equinox. Could you please clarify your quote above about Santorini (would not recommend) as your review stated a great experience. I'm thinking about booking Olympic Tours but just wanted to check this out with you first. Many thanks.

OP....if you would list your ports, we could perhaps help on those that you can easily do yourself, those where you want to hire your own guide, long excursions that aren't worth the trip (the Florence fly by, for example), etc.
Hi would just like to thanks everyone with all their suggestions, looks as if 'roll call' would be a good solution (being new to this site I just have to try and find out how to use it). With reference to the quote above the places we will be visiting are:-
- Nice (Villefranche)
- Florence/Pisa (Livorno)
- Rome (Civitavecchia)
- Amalfi Coast (Salerno)
- Mykonos
- Santorini
- Ephesus (Kusadasi)
- Athens (Piraeus) fly home from here
Any suggestions on what ports are worth booking a excursion would be great.

My husband and I are cruising on Equinox on 31/05/2015 from Barcelona and will be visiting Italy, Greece and Turkey. This is only our 2nd cruise (previous one with Royal Caribbean) so we are still a little wet behind the ears with regards to cruising. Was wondering if anyone could be of assistance with the following:-
- trying to decide if we should take cruise excursions (which some are a bit expensive, especially since there is quite a few we would like to do) or try and do them independently. On speaking to the travel agent they advised to do the cruise excursions as in the event of any delays Celebrity would be responsible for getting you back to the ship on time. We definitely would like to do one in Rome as the transfer time from port is approx 1 1/2 hrs and reading some reviews the traffic can be quite busy, can anyone make any recommendation for the Celerity excursions, or give any alternatives?
- our flight home is not until 5.10pm in the evening from Athens, so we have quite a long wait once we arrive in port (arrive at 7am). We are thinking of booking one of the Celebrity excursions which included airport transfers costing £86pp. Has anyone been on one of them, and are they worth it?
If anyone can give me any assistance it would be appreciated and no doubt I will think of other questions as time goes on. Many thanks. Magslram.
