Sorry for the late answering.
Japanese Goodwill Guides are excellent.
They become good mates. They know more about Tokyo than any of us.They will try so hard to meet you at your Hotel if necessary?
They will make it easy on you and mostly you will travel via public transport.Easy, easy at their advice.
Cars and Taxis can be so difficult in a extremely busy Tokyo unless guided by their wonderful Goodwill Guides,
Goodwill Guides are are a fantastic introduction to Japan.
Enjoy.

The Solarium Café puts a micro thin coating of pizza sauce on the cardboard backs of old tablets, stores it in ambient dry place for a week and then puts it out as pizza.
Miami RCCL Directors SHOULD BE TOLD TO VOTE ON THEIR PIZZA?
In comparison to PRINCES PIZZA.

We sailed on Legend in Nov 16,
Really depends where you are on the ship and time of day.
Plus how many child are running around using it as well.
For emails and doing a bit of goggle searching is great, but we tried to stream a movie and found it did drop off a few time.
But ha your on holidays gives you time to get a few cocktail for the interval [emoji106][emoji106][emoji322][emoji322][emoji23][emoji23]

I had voom in my outside cabin on the Explorer,Seattle to Syd,also in my OceanView on deck 11 on the Voyager in Dec.
Did so called voom work in Legend Cabins while you were on board in your cabin?

Yokohama
Goodwill Guides are excellent,in every way.The best.

You Could Bulk Out In The Radiances Dining Room?
-
Every RCI ship in every class from the smallest to the largest has suites. I'm not aware of Navigator offering a D+ breakfast in Chops.
On the RCCL ships i have been on it was Suites ONLY.
-
Before VOOM, a hallway neighbor invited me to watch an NFL game on his laptop in HD while on a Legend TA. There were no hiccups in the stream during the first half of the game. I was really surprised since at the time there were no tiers of service and everything else seemed so slow. Of course in those days, WiFi was $20+/day and probably few paid for it.With Stream as low as $5/day (recent sale reports), you are right that streaming anything reliably could be tough.
Should i take the gamble, and pay for the failure for my Sydney to Sin Voyage aboard Legend?
Thank you zoom,Zzzzoom,Mr Biker.

Why not post it in the relevant Cruiseline forum? - you will have more chance of a response there
As a general observation Internet quality varies on the location of the ship and satellite transmission conditions and the strength of the signal on the WiFi connection onboard ie the lowest common denominator - so the answer is "it depends"
Not getting response from former Legend cruisers i took your advice and put across to RCCL forum.

You might be able to watch movies at 3am, while no one else is using the internet.
Sound like they cannot deliver as per their advert for would be cruisers on board Legend?
-
Slow.
RCCL are advertising for next few days reduced rates and taking you into watching movies etc, running on their so called,Voom. on board Legend.
If its slow its impossible to watch movies on laptop we would of thought?
Thank You.

On Liberty last week, I asked for ground pepper and the waiter brought a grinder to the table. He did the grinding which was fine. I was on vacation, after all, so no need to grind my own like I am forced to do at home.
Very nice as should be with ones choice.
What we expect of very good restaurants.
On the funny side, re the quote, Hoppy2cruise. Yourself and the waiter must be exhausted from twisting on the great Pepper Grinder on board and at home?
-
This is why people don't like posting on this board! Why do you even bother to respond? Just to aggravate people and show how petty and hurtful you can be? This may not be a big deal to you but it is to the OP!
Thank You.
Nobody has come back with the real reason why?
Many of the pax have said that very fast RCCL was once a 4 star Cruise Line and heading fast for 3 stars.
The hard hard work of the crew is unbelievable and work so hard and yet frustrated often from head office of ridiculous situations of taking away PEPPER GRINDERS from the tables in the dinning room.
If you eat at MacDonald etc and many many of the Food chains of others there is no Pepper Grinders.
We THOUGHT RCCL was above a great restaurant upon sea in many areas?
Why did they take the PEPPER GRINDERS AWAY?
-
Pepper is the only condiment I use, hate salt! The pepper shakers are useless, nothing comes out of them. If someone aboulutely has to have pepper, I don't, then bring some packets with you. While this isn't a problem for you it might be for other people...
Very interesting.I agree its the only condiment i use and dislike white pepper.
I wonder if RCCL their Police Grinders they will stop us to take aboard our own grinders at the Gangway xray entry?
Search, dust us down and sneeze us into the naughty room?
To buy black pepper whole is not cheap at the supermarket.
-
Aboard the Explorer of the Seas.It seams that all the Pepper Grinders have been taken off the Dinning Room Tables.
Since we joined Seattle, no Pepper Grinders.
Its driving others crazy as RCCL regular Pepper Shakers are useless.
Excuses have been given,Norovirus. There is non here atm.Everything else is on the tables.
Some have said it came out of RCCL Miami via accountants? Stupidity????
It appears that the hard working crew are near running and that they MAY have taken crew numbers off this ship?
They are still bought out in Chops + Giovanni.
Other pax are taking back off Pepper Shakers and poring pepper on side plate.
WHERE ARE THE PEPPER GRINDERS ON Explorer of the Seas ?
-
Sounds like the Directors of Woolies in Bella Vista that they may be looking after RCCL ONLINE BOOKINGS atm?
Just as well you don't have a basket/trolley going to their check out?
-
Not in those little tender boats I hope  that would take ages.
They should dock at Newcastle!!!! Problem solved. ;)
Getting off the fast train to Newcastle, enlightening at Civic Station, bags taken, book in Honeysuckle,Exquisite market in the past.immigration, security, historical Lee Wharf, embark.Viewing from Ship South towards a slight view of city, not blocked by huge appartments,AS YET?
-
The Dining situation sounds like it will go similar to the Princess Grand Class Ships, with 5 formal Dining Restaurants, with only 1 dish, nightly that is different.
I can imagine how it is awful for some?
The worst of the worst for us, in the past RCCL,vessels
We book a full on suite.Invite friends around for a well planned dinner.
Presentation is great with dinning table cloth/set.
Food arrives.A lot of trouble choosing.
Delivered WARM,NOT HOT.
Why don't they deliver, its not heavy and stays hot in the famous American brand,Carlisle Insulated food carriers, of all sizes.
Full on suits are not cheap.
-
I agree, we need to fill our cities and the countryside til it will burst, we need to increase our immigration numbers especially with skilled migrants.
Past Darwin administration has already allowed the North together,Darwin Ports lease to make it all so easy to immigrate.
With a lack of apprentices starting trades, including shipbuilding, etc, etc we will need many
more immigrants just like Murdock presented in his past speech.quote,IMMIGRANTS,MORE,HE SAID.
Ideal to fill the appartments to fill up the appartments with immigrants to carry ones bags to Ship checkins etc.
We gave the porter in San Pedro $2 to take our bags along with a packet of Arnott's Tim Tam,we bought from home.
If those folks will be in those new appartments overlooking at the moment, the container terminals and the industrial area.If they are looking in easterly direction views into the Botany bus depot,Cemetery,ie,cheap Kellogg's products.Wow sounds like San Pedro, with many many street people in LA,areas, begging.
There is a fantastic thing about cruising, voyaging? We see the REAL WORLD,wherever.
-
Are they offering 30% off the Voom option ?
Yes thank you.
-
Thank you everyone,i realised why i couldn't get in there properly?
I was going in via the left hand side and then i tried going in across the top.(sorry for my ignorance)
Either there was something wrong for around a hour or mine?
I just got in and it all sparkled up.
Many thanks all.
