  1. Our CD is Mat Seguin. This may be a newbie question but does the CD make all much difference? I have only taken one cruise where I would have known who the CD was, on Disney, and I had no clue.

I had him in April. I thought he wa fantastic and very funny and entertaining. And kept it proper when an older gentleman was flashing EVERYTHING during the lip sync event at sail away on the lido deck! LOL

  2. I am sailing Norwegian. It just me sailing. I was going to find stuff to do when I figured where I was going to be.

    Thank you for the link.

Are there two different ports? Los Angeles and Long Beach? Or three with San Pedro? Are they close enough to stay wherever?

I promise I really am smart enough to travel alone.

  3. Alarm!!?! Is there an actual man overboard alarm or is it just an announcement? The closest to an emergency *knock on wood* I have come on cruises was on my last one where a passenger needed to be evacuated due to medical.

There was an alarm! I don't remember the sound or what was said. I was sleeping and I remember wondering if it was normal! LoL

I just got back from the Norwegian Epic on 3/25 and there were THREE different medical emergencies during those 7 days

  4. Please excuse my midwestern ignorance. I have A cruise out of Los Angeles and I have been looking for hotels and ways to get from the airport around to the hotels and stuff.

Can someone please break down to me is there a difference between Los Angeles and Long Beach what is San Pedro or where it is and if I am cruising from Los Angeles where do I look for a hotel.

I just don't even know where to start to find my details.

Thank you in advance for your help, guidance and direction!!

  5. Has anyone ever been on a ship while/where someone went overboard?

I agree with you, many people are just idiotic. I see kids sit on railings. It's sad really.

My first cruise was in the Destiny in 2012. The first night the alarm as sounded at about 12:30 am. They announce a lady had gone overboard. They were going back to the last location that they knew she was onboard. The announce came at 3:30am that they had found her ALIVE. The next day we went to Key West because she needed additional medical attention.

It was very surreal living it. But it was a true miracle that they found her in the middle of the night and she survived.

  6. I just got off the Epic in 3/25. I had so much fun. The activity staff was super fun and engaging. The pool deck was PACKED but still was able to find a chair the times I went up there. The food was good. I would say avoid the Manhattan dining room for dinner as I had terribly slow service and not so great food the two times I ate there. The bar staff were fun. I meet some wonderful people on the ship.
