  1. About 2 weeks before your cruise you will receive a notification advising of your boarding time. Although the email will politely warn not to arrive early, as you will be turned away, most people ignore that and no one is turned away.

On our last cruise, we arrived at the port at 1200, were checked in straight away,  and directed to a waiting room which already contained a large number of people. Boarding commenced at 1230 and we were all on board by 1245.

    Enjoy your cruise - Steve

    Hi Everyone.

We are counting down to our first Seabourn cruise and very excited. The ship (Quest) is scheduled to leave at 5 out of Miami. Based on your experiences what would your guess be on boarding time. We are in a Penthouse if that makes a difference. Hoping to have lunch on board and need to schedule a ride. Appreciate any of your thoughts.

    Thanks a lot,

    Art

    Steady on Art!

We won't be out of that cabin (918) until 0900. But promise to leave it in good condition.

We board in Rio and are getting pretty excited too!

  3. On a recent Odyssey,  New Zealand cruise, the sky bar was seldom open. We sat up there at lunch, when we couldn't get a table at the grill.

Interestingly,  we will be in 918 on the Quest next week. Obviously a popular cabin!

  4. Hi Charleyben,

I have just downloaded the App and claimed my perk. My email states Stockperks is reviewing my submission and will respond in two working days with the next steps.

Interestingly the application wanted to know my income (I skipped that page) but not my booking reference or sailing details!

    I await with bated breath!

  5. On our recent Odyssey cruise we were allocated a 1400 boarding. We arrived at the port at 1200, quite prepared to wait but were checked in straight away and advised that boarding would commence at 1230, we were then directed to a waiting area, where about 100 passengers were already waiting. We were on board by 1245 and the cabin was ready.

  6. I have received the usual Move Up email from Celebrity and notice the starting bid for Aqua class is only a couple of hundred dollars more than Concierge and yet Aqua includes drinks and tips etc.

Am I missing something here? Are drinks and tips included if you are successful in an Aqua upgrade bid?

  7. Have recently booked a last minute cruise and the only boarding time appointments are after 3.00pm.

It has been 10 years since we last cruised with Celebrity but at that time, as Elites we were entitled to priority boarding at any time.

    Is that still the case?

  8. We disembarked at White Bay a few weeks ago, there were plenty of taxis waiting at the cruise terminal and we were at the airport in less than 30 minutes. Having said that it was a Sunday but at the time of your arrival most of Sydney will still be on holiday.

  9. We will be sailing down the African coast on board the Spirit over Christmas and am a little confused regarding visas.

I have spoken to Silversea and been advised that they will obtain visas on our behalf, whereas our travel agent advises that we will need to obtain visas for Kenya before boarding the ship.

Can anyone who has previously visited Kenya with Silversea advise how they obtained their Kenyan visa?

Many thanks - Jenny and Steve

  10. We will cruise to Antarctica soon and will rent boots through Seabourn.

Wondered if anyone who has previously done this cruise can help?

Are the boots solely for use on Antarctica? Is it possible to wear them on deck in wet weather or on shore excursions in other ports?

We are hoping to leave our waterproof hiking boots at home in the interest of lightening our luggage.
