  1. Yes, this was standard.  We did it in 1983 on the Song of Norway.  Took long bus ride to ruins, had box lunch from ship at a large park, another long bus ride and ferry to Cozumel.  Ship didn't depart until late at night.  I have my first pictures of the ship all lit up at night from this trip.  Agree--- great memories.   Barb

  2. Yes, there is a lever to move that will put the scooter in "neutral".   It is usually on the back wheels.   I carry a heavy duty door stop to hold the door open while I drive through.  The cabin stewards have them, but they're not always around and don't always have extras.  For your own peace of mind, practice at a local store or mobility store.  Scooters do not have brakes and don't always steer like you think they would.  Enjoy your cruise!  Barb

  3. RCI will not send your documents unless you have paid for them. Go to your "my cruises" account on their website. On the right hand side of this reservation will be an area that notes cruise documents - "issued" or "not issued". If they have been issued, you click on that button and it takes you to an area that you can choose to view or print the documents. The print selection brings up a PDF document. You can save it on your computer and/or print the pages you want. You do not need the documents to board the ship. You need the set-sail pass, passport and credit card. Hope this helps. Barb

  4. My experience has been that the luggage tag "button" on SetSail Pass page does not appear until the cruise docs are issued. Also, the docs seem to be somewhat delayed if I am using Choice Air. Maybe just a coincidence. Barb

  5. We were in Cabin 1600 at the aft of the ship and the medical facility is on deck 2 forward - so it was amazing to me how quick she arrived after my call.

I think the medical folks have a "key", similar to firefighters, that locks out all other elevators and gives them priority to the floor they select.

I have seen medical called many times on RCI and the response has always been very quick. Any officer or crew with a radio calls for medical assistance.
