So have you quarantined yourself for the last 14 days?  What is your point?  You cant live your life in a bubble.  Jesus, I would imaginw right now Cruise Ships are probably cleaner than most hospitals.  Like I said, I hope you enjoy your future cruise, but MTFO and let us enjoy OUR cruise.  Stop fanning the flames of rumors, mystics and snake-oil salesmen.  What do you know that we don't?

    Absolutely.

  2. Hello

There's been some comments about power strips, surge protectors and the like lately, and because my husband and I both use CPAP machines for sleep apnea ( and therefore a power strip with an extension cord) I was concerned.

I called NCL, and they said that they would allow power strips and longer extension cords for medical devices. They will also supply distilled water. I assume this is through the special assistance department, so one might need to call ahead. She also said that guest services and assistance would be aware of the situation and be prepared to help if we had any complications.

I am prepared that we will probably encounter an issue during a security check. I always carry my cpap in my carry on, so I'm hoping that will suffice without needing to call anyone else.

  3. We have been on 5 TA crossings and there is just a big plethora of things/activities, etc to do!

On sea days the dailies are single-spaced and crammed, on port days they are light and double-spaced.

You'll always find something you want to do. You have to find time to get bored! ;)

Last TA we watched 3 or 4 movies in the atrium and the bar waiter kept supplying us drinks and we also had popcorn!

Don't forget to take one yellow and one blue highlighters. Yellow for you, blue for DH and green for both!

I always forget the highlighters! Thanks!

  4. Hi!

Does anyone happen to have a set of dailies from a recent Transatlantic sailing? I'm guessing they would be pretty similar ship to ship.

Trying to convince hubby that there will be other things for us to do besides drink, smoke cigars and knit. :D

  5. HI All!

A belated thank you for all of your advice, especially those who were kind and not overly critical. I wasn't familiar with the Upsell department, so after doing a little more research, I found the number and.... BOOM! Spectacular upsell was offered. Apparently there was some sort of note on my acct... anyway, that's what my TA told me. Booked into an H4 and couldn't be happier. Got to keep my original dining and beverage plans, but do not get the normal Haven WIFI. OH well. Maybe that means my husband will work less!

  6. Hi All, please advise....

We are booked on Breakaway departing 10/2. We have a standard routine... We book an inside cabin when we decide we want to go, but then keep our eyes open for a good deal on an upgrade the first chance we get. So, that's what happened. We saw a great deal for a mini-suite at $150.00 more pp than we paid originally. Now, even though we want to give them MORE money, they are telling us that if we upgrade, we lose our UDP and UBP. I could understand if we wanted to get a less expensive cabin, but I don't understand why they are telling us no. Doesn't make any sense. Would calling Latitudes help? Any words of wisdom in dealing with the overseas call center or are we better off seeing if we can do something on board?
