Hi Rowse, Enjoying your review; we are on the Eclipse for the 3/20 cruise, and were wondering if they had the big buffet (breakfast/lunch) on this cruise as they have done in the past. Thanks, Carolyn & John

We have done the cruse twice, once on the Mercury and once on the Millennium . Both were the last of May. There was no water in the pool on either cruise. the air temp. was never higher than 65 deg. F. I don't think you will have to concern yourself with noise from the pool deck as very few will be out there moving around.

As I recall, you can't send your laundry on the final two days of the cruise. They do a pretty good job with it, but it really is "wash, dry, and fold", so you might want to be particular in what you send, since it will not be pressed when returned.

Our favorite waiter was Kerim who was on the Zenith the last year she was in service for Celebrity. I imagine he went on to be a Matre D if he stayed on with Celebrity Lines.

Is this something new? Previously you could get a military discount on selected cruises if you were active, reserve, or retired military. And you had to reserve through a SATO travel agency.

I saw from your post that you stayed at the Doubletree for $84 (military/govt. rate) per night in April. I have looked on their website for either military/govt. or AARP rates for March 2007 and find everything is well above the $200 price range.
Did you use the internet or call them to get the nice lower rate?
Thanks for the info.

I am interested in knowing if they still have a Brunch (which can cover both breakfast and lunch) on one of the sea days? Thanks, Carolyn
