I agree but it should be the same price for all so if it is free transfers it should free for all

Royal Caribbean on some cruises. Jet2 when booking a package holiday. With RC it is known as Wheel Chair Adapted Vehicles. I would love to go on a coach but they aren't always suitable to carry a electric wheelchair
-
Is it fair that some airlines and cruise companies charge for wheelchair transfers? Before you answer this think about if you were stuck in one full time
-
i have a pride all new gochair electric wheel chair the arms on the chair lift up so sitting at tables is no hardship all and it is so small and compact you can turn round in very small spaces ie lifts etc so you can come out forwards
-
on the web site it did say taxi transfer and a wheelchair access taxi is
at extra cost but now is gone of the site make your own mind up
-
a taxi with wheel chair access costs no more than one without in the eu and thats the law
-
why are royal caribbean charging extra for wheelchair transfers its nothing worse than disabled discrimimation how are they getting away with this in the eu they are breaking the law ?

La Boca de Puerto Naos is a new port 1km from the town. Has anyone docked here? The old port is about 8 km from the town and I was wondering how to find out which port will be used by the ship.

We are from the UK and after reading all about the uncertainty of cruises sailing this weekend I can understand your concerns. I myself would not like to be 'left in the dark'. I understand no body know's what is the best approach and serious decisions have to be made. This is not something new and a 'one off' , this time of year is hurricane season. Would it be better 'all round' to avoid itinaries for the carribbean and put more ships in Europe to avoid this type of chaos.

Will cruise lines be bringing back stops in Turkey Ports again. I have cruised 16 times and getting a little bored with the same itineraries. Does anyone share my feeling's.

We are taking an electric wheelchair which dismantles into 5 components. To do this it can take around 5 minutes and then putting it in the boot can take a few minutes to decide the best way for it to fit. We are travelling around the canaries in Oct and was wondering if the battery starts to run low whether it would be easy to get a taxi back to the ship with the wheelchair. We feel that taking up a taxi's drivers time dismantling the chair to fit in the car would not go down very well. We don't want to miss any of the port's or be a burden to a taxi driver who has to earn a living. Has anyone been refused a taxi with an electric wheelchair. It is different with a manual chair because our's just folds up and goes in the boot in a flash.

I would post this on the cruise line board for the line you are sailing.
Keith
Thanks for that but I thought most cruise lines would be the same, that's why I did it this way

I am aware hairdryers are provided in the cabins but I find them very poor. I normally take a travel hairdryer which converts to the lower voltage. I would like to know if anyone has taken a 240 v hairdryer and it worked the same as it would on UK voltage.
-
if you go into the web site and pick plan a cruise then you put in the date and the region you go into the booking first you book the cabin then the flights and hotel if you need one then the transfers and i think you have four options the wheel chair adapted vechicle is the second one down and it costs more than the first option which is for transfers
by the way i am a dimond member and disabled i have never had to pay extra for my transfers in europe which are the best in the usa they are not as good
-
sorry for the mistake in my post
-
it says on the web site on transfers the price for a wheel chair adaped vehicle and it more at cost than a transfer why
-
why has royal caribbean started charging extra to take disabled people from airport to ship i thought it was against the law in europe to do this shame on them
