  1. Thank you for the tip, though. If my Breeze and Magic musters are outside, I will try to be last so I’m not sandwiched in in the hot sun, or I will go down!

Muster on both the Breeze and the Magic are held inside. On the Breeze we were in the comedy club and on the Magic in one of the conference rooms.

  2. I know it’s hard to believe, but I have never had a Guys burger😳. Maybe in October. Are there any “tortilla chips” to be found or will the Blue Iguana fry up a few tortillas to go?

They don't have tortilla chips unfortunately, but they do have the new taco salad tortilla bowls. Last cruise I asked for an empty one, broke it up and used it as chips. Worked well!

  3. Thanks for the feedback.

When you arrived at 10am were you able to just walk right into the terminal?

Yes, they let us go straight in and so did my family in 2 other rooms without FTTF and their check in time was not until 11am.

We boarded by 11 and my other family didnt get on until about 11:30 w/o FTTF.

We were able to go drop off our stuff and head up to lido before it was slammed and got a table for all of us.

We were on the extended Hurricane Irma cruise on her so if you have any other questions let me know. we got 10 straight days!

  4. Going on Carnival Magic out of Port Canaveral in a few weeks and just searched and read a bunch of threads about the times but got some mixed information.

    Goals:

Spend the least of amount of time waiting outside in heat.

Drop off numerous carry-ons and get the room "re-cleaned" ASAP so we can head to lunch unencumbered.

We have FTTF so don't suspect this will be a huge issue overall. (hopefully)

    Questions:

    1. Everything I found says that Sign & Sail cards are in the mailbox on the Magic now. So outside of the security lines, what is the exact check-in process now? Just show your boarding pass to someone and sit down?

    2. The earliest check-in time I can select is 11:30am-12:00 but I have read several people said they were on the ship at 11:05, 11:20am, etc. without even having priority. So my question is what time to they normally open the doors and let people in and what is the normal boarding times for each group?

Yes, I realize everything is subject to deviate at any given time (like everything cruising) but just looking for the usual/normal time frames.

Any other info regarding the PC boarding process welcomed. :)

    Thanks

    1. You go to the desk and they verify all of your paperwork just like before and then you wait until they call you to board. Since you have FTTF you can go straight to your room and get your cards.

    2. Your check in time makes no difference with FTTF. They say they open the port at around 10am.

on our cruise last September we arrived right at 10am and there were already a ton of people! With FTTF we were onboard by 11am.

Have a Blast its one of my favorite ships!

  5. Mr. Sanchos for sure if your looking for all inclusive, water toys (cost extra), massage, beach, and other rentals.

Sky Reef if you want an all inclusive with snorkeling. there is no beach but amazing snorkeling, food is very good and so are the drinks.

We have done both and loved both!

  6. Just wanted to ask what perks do we get from FTTF in regards to dining. As of now, we have early dining confirmed for our cruise. But we are waitlisted on the YTD. Does having FTTF give me a better chance at getting YTD? What about lines during breakfast, lunch and dinner, does FTTF have separate queues? How about making meal reservations, we have 2 toddlers and are planning on going to the Dr. Suess breakfast, is it easy making a reservation with FTTF? TIA! :D

Yes FTTF will give you a better chance of getting YTD, after any Diamond or Platinum cruisers choice.

FTTF is of no use on the lido. its a free for all, you get in the same lines as everyone else.

FTTF will not help you get reservations to the Dr. Suess breakfast.

  7. So if you are on a clam shell sun lounger thing in serenity by yourself and someone asks to share it with you...are you ok with that?

Yes I am! I like to meet new people on cruise ships! Its fun and you never know who you are going to meet! They could have an amazing story or be battling something horrible that me offering for them to join me might ease a little of their pain.

Kindness goes a long way. try it sometime!

  8. The smoking allowed area is just that, an area where it is allowed, it is not the exclusive domain of those that smoke and does not give them privilege over non smokers. I find it hard to believe that every seat in the smoking area was taken, I have never seen smoking area completely full in middle of day. As bingomama has stated, some of the lines of reasoning here would also allow for a smoker to take the spot of a non smoker in the casino. So should someone give up a table and chairs in lido area if not eating? Should someone not sit in loungers close to pool if they are not swimming? I see that there was no obligation to relinquish the seat regardless of whether she smokes or not and it was actually quite rude for the person to ask.

If you read her post she stated that the women asked if she could sit down with her, not that she needed to leave because she was in the smoking section.

Its not rude to ask for someone to share space.

  9. Wow..you people are funny. So if you sit in a loveseat by your self, you are going to move over and let a stranger sit there cuddled up to you ???

She certainly could have stood there and lit up if she was right it was the smoking side of the ship--she can stand wherever she wants. I am not sharing a loveseat with any stranger--smoker or not

Yes i would move over and have done so many times. Do you know how many cruise friends I have met this way. By being polite and sharing a table or love seat. Please sit down lets chat. This is the norm with smokers, we tend to be...not as up tight as non smokers. We enjoy meeting new people and sharing instead of being rude and treating her like a 2nd class citizen because she smokes and was looking for a seat in the smoking section.

  10. My chair hogging story is a bit different.

A few years ago on the breeze, a port day that I did not get off the ship. I went up to the floor above lido to get on of those love seat things to watch the movie that was on the big screen.

I was laying on the love seat and a lady comes up and asks if I could sit up so she can sit on the loveseat too. I said "no, I am relaxing, this is a love seat and I don't even know you". She said "well this is the side people can smoke on and I need to sit down so I can smoke". '

I was flabbergasted---I told her to go smoke somewhere else in a chair she can find (I am not a smoker and certainly didn't want to share a loveseat with a stranger AND a smoker at that).

She continued to argue with me for a bit, I straight up told her to move along because I was not sharing the loveseat. She finally walked away in a huff.

You were completely in the wrong here! First of all a love seat is meant for 2 people, not for you to lay down in and hog a seat that someone else may need or want. Second....you were a non smoker in the smoking section and refused to give this person her right to do so. I would have sat on the ground and leaned up against said love seat and lit up!

  11. Here's my opinion...

Yes you should be able to decide if your child is mature enough to watch an adult comedy show, however why would you teach your child that it is ok to disobey and disrespect a rule. Its not a recommendation, it is clearly listed as 18+ . Teaching them to break this rule because it seems small is just teaching them that other rules are meant to be broken.

next cruise when your child is actually 18 take them to the show, until then be a parent and teach them right from wrong and leave them to the teen camp.

  12. Hi. We are 18 days from turning platinum. We are looking at booking a 5 day at the end of October, another 5 day in January 2019 and an 8 day in October of 2019. that totals in 18 days, will we turn platinum on the 8 day October 2019 cruise or the cruise following that one?

  13. Leaving on the Magic this Saturday the 30th....

Do you know if you can order a drink @ dinner with Grey Goose VX?

I know you mentioned that they have it in 3 locations, but will a bartender in the MDR actually get you GG VX if you order it?

I'm also looking forward to the Alchemy bar... Sounds like fun ordering different drinks to try (Yes, I have the drink package!)

No they won't go get it from the MDR. My husband tried and they said they couldnt. so he just went and got one himself from the bar before dinner.
