Reservations are available but not required. It is possible to go to any MDR and request a table. It is possible that there will be a wait, but you absolutely can just go to dinner whenever you like.

Thanks! That's what I was hoping but wanted to check just in case.

  2. New to Celebrity and will be sailing on the Apex in a couple weeks. While I have reserved several Speciality Restaurants for our cruise, we chose Anytime Dining for the MDR meals.  I just noticed there are reservations for Complimentary Dining on the website. Do I need to have made reservations for Tuscan, Normandie......??? Times are quite limited now and I will be annoyed if I didn't know this was necessary!! I just assumed Anytime meant Anytime??

  3. Late May-early June was the only time that works for both of us. This was the only option I could find that didn’t visit all the ports we’ve already been to. I’m probably just seeking reassurance that we aren’t making a mistake!

  4. I am looking at booking a 5 night Royal Caribbean Alaska Getaway. Ports are Icy Strait and Sitka. My husband and I have cruised the inside passage previously, but we will cruising with friends who have never cruised before. We chose the 5 night since the date worked and we thought it would be good for a "starter" cruise for them. (Any my husband and I did not want to do all the same ports we have done previously).

Being the organizer, I am of course nervous! I want it to be a good experience for them! Will we miss out on too much by not doing the traditional ports - (but they could go back and still have new ports to visit some day?). Will a one time sailing 5 night cruise have the same activities and  good service that a weekly sailing would have? We have never cruised RCCL before. How rough will waters be outside as opposed to inside. Is the end of May too early to do Alaska? Are we making a mistake???? (Can you tell I'm over thinking this? Ha!) Help!!

  5. I’m looking at booking this same cruise with friends who have never cruised before. We wanted a shorter cruise for their first time and this one fit both of our schedules. My husband and I have done the inside passage with Glacier Bay on Princess. We really don’t want to do the same ports again and virtually every 7 day cruise goes to the same ports. Icy Strait and Sitka were new for us. I’m thinking if our friends love cruising they can go back and do an inside passage trip and have new ports. My concern is that this 5 day one time only cruise will not offer everything the weekly sailings offer. We’ve never cruised Royal before. Being the “organizer” makes me nervous! Will we be making a mistake?? Help!!
