  1. Just off Mardi Gras from last week. The only mask enforcement is in the casino. Announcements every 15 minutes and dealers always asking to wear when you don’t have a smoke in hand or drink in hand. Other than the casino I could walk freely (if wanted to) without a mask anywhere on ship with nobody saying anything. Walk by any indoor bar and not a person with a mask on. Personally, I see no difference in being around 15-30 maskless people at the Alchemy bar vs the casino. Not sure why bars are not being enforced indoors. When walking from venue to venue I would say around 25% of people were maskless. My Horizon cruise in September was same for casino but almost everyone wore masks when walking from venue to venue.

John Heald said earlier that the Mardi Gras is at about 85%.

"So this week Mardi Gras has 4400 guests which with a capacity of 5400 means we are at almost 85%.
It does not feel like this at all. As you would’ve seen from my videos the flow of guests and the magnificent and varied spaces of entertainment, food service an outdoor spaces mean she does not feel crowded at all"

He also mentioned that when in Nassau with three other ships, Royal, Disney and Celebrity that the 4400 people was more than the other three combined.

  3. On Horizon at beginning of Sept and it was hand shuffle like it always has been. Had $6 min table, $10 and $25. Three fun 21 tables to one regular blackjack. Paid 3/2 blackjack. Love the game, can be more aggressive than regular blackjack. Also had the two side games. One with the Q hearts and another if the dealer busts based on his flip card.

  4. No need to purchase this FTF program… With how light the ships are everyone who wants to get on the ship quickly can do so by getting to the port at 10:30. Save your money and spend it on a nice meal at the steakhouse. On my recent Horizon cruise we saw very few people enter the port terminal after 1130am. On the other side we got their at 1030 and was on the ship by 11.

Cucina del Capitano, Chibang!, and Pig and Anchor Smokehouse.

Thanks! Wife and I have Freedom booked in October. Reason we chose is due to HMC and GT ports with Aruba and Bonaire. We have a Sept cruise going to Aruba, Bonaire, La Romana and Amber C. Freedom recently dropped HMC and GT and replace with La Romana and Amber C. Trying to talk wife into changing from Freedom now to Marie Gras as I don’t want to go to La Romana and Amber C again. Hopefully won’t have to twist arm to hard.

If it were me I would get as much of my money back as possible and see how this thing plays out.

I can do that as I can still get a refund as long as I act on it by the end of the year. Honestly that is why I don’t want to make a decision at this point, want to see how it plays out, especially the affects on cruising upon its return whenever that may be.

As above you have until year end, but by then you need to decide or you get fcc.

Please note that whichever option you select will apply to all guests on your reservation.

Given how fluid the situation is, we have extended this offer until December 31, 2020 for you to make a selection.  After that, you will automatically receive a Future Cruise Credit*.

Thanks Firefly. With the option to get a refund or the cruise credit we will just leave the cruise as is for the time being until we see what cruising will be like upon its return. Thanks

You should have already received cancellation notice with option to rebook with obc or get full refund.  I also had May 16th cruise and this happened a couple of weeks ago.

We chose to rebook in December

We received all the cancellation info. My question is what happens if we choose to do nothing by the sail date of May 16th. Thanks

  9. I don’t do anything for my cruise scheduled to depart on May 16th? Do we lose our money? Still eligible for a refund at a later date? Does cruise credit and onboard credit of $600 still apply if we cancel after May 16th? We have been holding out as long as possible to see what cruising may look like upon it’s return before making a decision. No surprise, as things are so fluid, but we don’t have an answer on what cruising will be like and most likely won’t until July or August and perhaps even later if more postponements occur. We treat the money as already spent so letting it sit there is no issue for us and if we can still be eligible for refund or credit we will most likely just wait it out until we see what cruising in the future looks like. Thanks
