  1. We cruise a ton with our kids on Princess and Celebrity. (10-12 cruises) When there is an excursion the boys don't want to do, the boys are happy to stay in Kids' Club. It's not extra except for 2 hours on Celebrity when they take them to lunch/dinner-fee is minimal.

This fall we will be cruising the New England/ Canada with our boys. There is a Lulu Lobster Tour that we are doing. Also there are 4 dessert places that we are going to visit in Bar Harbor. We may rent bikes in Bar Harbor. There is Freedom Walk, Paul Revere/(Boston) We are going to do the Boston Tea Party Tour. We are doing the Fort Adam Tour in Rhone Island.  I haven't had a chance to look up Halifax and Saint John, yet.

Oops, I forgot to say that our boys are 8 & 12 years old.

  2. This is exactly why I tried to convince the person coordinating our cruise (multi family with 5 kids ranging in age from 2 to 11) that Disney would have been a better cruise line for us. But, Disney would have cost 15K more for the same cruise. :( This is also why each family has to have 2 staterooms instead of 1.

There are two things I am nervous about on this cruise....activities for the kids and packing without having access to self serve laundry. Oh well, take it as it comes I guess.

We have taken our 8 yr old & 4 year old on almost every cruise line, even Disney. They love Celebrity & Princess the best. They were disappointed with Disney. The staff in the Fun Factory had lots of activities & knew them personally. We are headed on Celebrity on May 22, & my sons can't wait to go to the Fun factory. He loves it so much that he says he may not get off the boat.

Kids can stay on the boat while we get off the boat. We only pay for the Fun factory during lunch time supervision because they take them to buffet for lunch.

If this helps you my boys are active boys who play every sport.

If your 2 year olds is potty trained with no diaper he/she can possibly go to fun factory too. My youngest son was able too. It will be up to the supervisor.

There is a family veranda which is double the size of regular cabin. Check with your agent.
