I'm surprised to find myself asking this, as I feel I really ought to know by now.  Is there anywhere to check category pricing information prior to booking being open?

Pricing for the 2024 world voyages is available on the Cunard website.

  2. The OP did not mention the accommodation level being considered but a  check of Cunard on line  for V106 SF-SYD 2021 showed available PG  2  SI 13  DI  2   OV obsv  6  OV  8  BB pobsv  1  BB  18 .    Going the longer route, NY -SYD  sold out except for BB.  However, an option for the OP would be booking separately NY -SOU  which shows PG QG and Britannia Club available  and SOU-SYD showing all  levels available.

With the Queen Anne coming into service for 2022, Cunard will have four ships to its name. But where will they be positioned?

The QE in particular is worth watching. She has spent 50 nights in Australian waters the previous year and over 100 this coming summer season. Once Anne begins service, I'd say it's a near guarantee that Cunard will permanently position QE in Australian and Asia-Pacific waters, sailing out of Melbourne and possibly Sydney between October and April each year, moving north into Asia for April and May, before moving across to Alaska for June to August, before returning to Asia and the back to Australia. This is based on how Cunard has been increasingly deploying her. I also anticipate a more intensive SE Asian intinerary at some point.

As the newest ship, the Queen Anne will probably be put on the UK, Canaries and the Mediterranean for the European summer and there will be greater flexibility in how Queen Victoria is utilised, perhaps doing more Baltic, Icelandic, and longer exotic itineraries like repeats of South America. QM2 will obviously maintain her Transatlantic schedule, with additional North American, Caribbean and Norwegian voyages. Little will change there I suspect.

I do expect that we will see a rendezvous of the queens in Sydney Harbour in either 2022 or 2023. Given the constraints due to poor port planning there, it's likely to be a maximum of three of the four ships. I don't expect Cunard to operate four world cruises each year anyway.

The information I've found on line doesn't show a Sydney rendezvous in 2022 but that currently the QE will return for another  Australian summer season in 2022.

  4. Thank you so much for this information. I really appreciate it.

I gather that you were pleased with the Club experience in general.

    Thanks again.

Yes, we found the food and staff excellent throughout the voyage. Hope you have the same experience. FYI, there were about 500 full world voyage passengers on our trip. In BC we had many newcomers over the several segments. Many Japanese and Australians, some for only a few days once we reached Sidney and headed north to China and Japan and then down to Singapore.

  5. We will be on QE for 95 days in 2018 and are in Britannia Club Guarantee. We booked early last June.

I will be interested to see where we are sitting when we board in San Francisco. I am thinking that the window tables will be hard to come by initially because of the people who boarded starting in Southampton but that once we get to Sydney, we will have a better selection from which to chose. It will be interesting. Now if we get upgraded to either Princess or Queens Grill, they can put me ANYWHERE.

I hope you have a wonderful world voyage on the QE. We were on board the QE from SF to Southampton in 2014 and then completed the world voyage, crossing on the QM2 to NY. Regarding Britannia Club seating on the QE, we and other full voyage passengers near us had window tables for two the entire voyage. If I recall ours was 257 located in the rear on the restaurant with only one other table for two across from us. I checked saved emails and found that several months before embarking we contacted the restaurant seating administrator at Cunard/PO with our seating preferences based upon a previous QE cruise also in Britannia Club and our request was forwarded to the Britannia Club Maitre d". Unfortunately that link is no longer functioning. However, you may contact the Cunard Onboard Services Coordinator at cunardonboardservices@cunard.com for assistance with seating requests. Hope this is helpful.
