DD and I will be sailing on the Nieuw Amsterdam in late November. I have a couple of questions that I would really appreciate your kind assistance on.
- Can anyone please tell me the difference in a Deluxe Ocean View Balcony VF and a Balcony Suite SZ?
-Can anyone tell me if HAL has a soft drink package?
I am sure I will have many more questions as this is will be our first time sailing HAL. Thank you in advance.

Need help with parking ideas !!
We are driving to Miami for the Journey Cruise on the Glory departing Jan 23, 2016. The cruise ends in San Juan and we will be flying back into FLL. Should we park in Miami and then get transportation back there after we land in FLL, or should we park in FLL and get transportation to Miami the day we cruise? Hope this is not too confusing.
We like to park at the port, but not sure that is the best option for this particular cruise. Ideally, we would like to park at the Miami port and then get a cab back there to get our car, but not sure if this would work? Sorry for rambling !!!

How far is El Ambique from the cruise terminal? Is it easy to get a cab there and back to the port? TIA

Final update: we got a cabin !! My TA is the bomb !! It is an inside cabin, and we have never sailed in an inside before. But, we are in the ship !! Hooray !!

Confusing update : called Carnival this morning and told we were now up to number 4 on the list. Called back this afternoon and was told we are now number 1 on the list !!! Called back tonight and they are now saying we are number 9 on the list ? So confused.... But still hopeful !!

Just tried to book it yesterday. DH won a seat in the poker tournament when we were on the Dream in May. He just decided yesterday that he wants to go, and now ship is full.
We have some nice casino offers that we will consider if the Dream doesn't work out for us.

A suite ?!?! They didn't mention that. We paid a refundable deposit and they will call us in the event a cabin becomes available and we have the option to accept it or not. I would probably have to pass on the suite unless it was really cheap !! Thanks everyone ! I'll let you know how it goes.

We want to sail on the Oct. 19th Dream Cruise and the ship is currently full. We have been added to a wait list, and are currently number 5 on the list. We have agreed to any cabin that comes available. What do you think our chances are of getting a cabin? Thank you in advance for your thoughts.
