I started cruising with my kids at 9 months. I’m not sure about an inflatable pool but we did have an inflatable tub shaped like a duck that we put on the floor of shower. Also if your baby hasn’t slept in a pack n play before start practicing now. And if they have any sound or light device they sleep with bring it better to be a pack mule then have a cranky baby. My kids are now 10 and 13 and devoted cruisers.

July 31st sailing? We will be on it with 12 & 15 year olds!
We are on July 31st with our 10 and 13 yo

My 10 and 13 yo are both gold and well on their way to platinum before they can drive or at least before the 10 yo can drive

We took my 3 and 6 yo sons on a cruise to Alaska so much that we are going back this summer at 10 and 13. They loved whale watching, the train in Skagway, and the lumberjack show - all readily offered excursions. My kids love nature and cruising so Alaska works for them.

Just went on this excursion last week. No cameras including go pros allowed and they sell their pictures at outrageous prices - twice as much as dolphin swim and we got videos there too

On the Miracle last week, my family won 13 ships on a stick, 2 camp ocean trophies and 5 camp ocean medals. We were a big group and only won 1 per activity but we played almost every trivia game and scavenger hunt on the ship.

My family went to Ocean World last summer. My Step-Dad used his small foldable wheelchair with no problems. You have to get on a bus that can't accommodate ECVs or large electric wheelchairs. There was a dolphin show, bird show, shark show, and seal lion show. We were mainly there to swim with the dolphins, which they allowed my Mom and Step Dad to watch and the employees even wheeled him down to the viewing area. It was a really fun day for everyone. My mom did not wear a swimsuit.

My son's favorite activity at camp are the scavenger hunts - where the kids go out in groups to find things on the ships. The kids can't participate in this activity without sign out privileges. Just something to think about - we don't really let him roam otherwise.

We did the carnival dolphin excursion in Amber Cove. We got all of the photos and video of the 5 of us for $100.00 and the pictures are very good and they have video of my son being pushed through the water. To us, it was well worth the cost at $20.00 per person.

We live in Los Angeles and my kids use the pool and slides every time we sail even in January. In May, assume warm days and slightly chilly nights. The water is warm in the pools and slides.

My family has been on both Disney and Carnival and my kids chose Carnival for our next cruise because of price and itinerary. We get 2 weeks and 6 new ports for them for the same price as Disney. The water slides are better on Carnival in their opinion as well. My DH and I don't see a big enough difference in service, food, and entertainment to not agree that 2 weeks and for us 3 new ports than the same 1 week itinerary over and over again isn't a better deal.

Los Angeles Unified is March 30th-April 3rd - most of the private schools in Los Angeles have off the week of April 6th-10th.
Self Check out of Camp Ocean - advice please!

We let 9 yo sign out but he knew the privilege only extended to the group scavenger hunts and if he was leaving with his older brother. The scavenger hunts are both kids favorites and they only have an hour. It worked well for us.
