  1. Okay, I will tell them to suck it up. We will enjoy the ports and I really like the Jewel and Pearl. They will be fine. It's not like they were going to be frequenting water slides in Alaska anyway! lol

Thank you for your input. I appreciate it.

I think you would be able to enjoy yourselves no matter what ship you end up deciding on. There are some good opinions here! We did the Century to Alaska a few years back and we loved it! Probably our favorite cruise! We also prefer newer and bigger ships but as old and small as the Century was it didn't bother us at all.

At the time though, we didn't have children. However, I don't think it would have mattered cause like a few said here it's about the destination and scenery when it comes to Alaska!

Well good luck no matter what you choose and have a great time!

  2. Take along copies from your travel agent... We had done that once.... and still had trouble on board. We never did get get the onboard credit! I even called the online travel agency from Cozumel twice... they promised to contact NCL.... after several emails and a fax... the online travel site that sounds like Travel city.... made good-- and cut us a check for the amount of credit we were to get. They were very nice onboard the ship-- just that they did not have any record of our credit-- and said they could not go by the print off we had from the travel site.

To future cruisers, we had same problem as Jamrenjer before. Make sure you have your OBC on your NCL or any cruise line account for that matter before departure.

  3. Thanks! I'll look forward to it :) And lucky you, cruising so soon. Enjoy Breakaway and Bermuda! I've been 4 times - love it there!

I would say that's the shape of the room. Deck 11 has a couple weird shapes as well in the aft. Deck 12 balconies look like they recede slightly inwards to give you a bigger balcony. Good luck with your choice!

  4. I took my Grandson this year, and he was 11 months old. He cost the same as I did, which I didn't expect and was hard to imagine.

I swore I'd order a steak for him every night and let him bang it on his highchair tray

The cruise was fantastic, worth every penny. All staff members stop what they are doing to greet him and play "peek". At the end of the week all knew him by name! They made the experience very special and memorable.

You will really enjoy your cruise, whatever cruise line you choose!

    Cute! Very Cute! Thx mzc!
