WOW..............I am flabbergasted at the unmitigated arrogance of your post especially the last line..............
Why are you making this about "class" as in lower/middle/upper? It's clearly NOT about that but you keep using that to try to defend your point. I get it. You are a rich guy. So why are you in this fight about smokers rights? It's becoming clear that you have other issues about society/government in general that are driving this. Please share with us your esteemed view of world order....as you feel it should be.
I agree, I am also flabbergasted by his comments, but I dont think he is 'a rich guy ' from his comments about class I think he just wishes he was rich !!

perhaps if they would have shown me there storage safe, I would have been satisfied. And I know they cannot show that to everyone, but in this case, I was the only one worried.
But how would you know if they had actually put your passport in the impressive safe ?

Hopefully No smoking at all ,sooner rather than later

Yes they do shopping with the chef at the market in Funchal .It is mainly fresh fish and a few fruit and vegetables that is bought. The only time I have known them not do it was when we docked at 2pm one crossing. Book soon after you board as it often the only stop on a TA so it is very popular.
Hope that helps :)

SIMPLE
1 - No Smoking ,
2 - Formal nights to be Formal or do not have them. Formal optional causes too many arguments.
3 - No children . :D

My wife and I are diamond members and both tick the 30 min complimentary massage ,and as I do not like a massage they are happy to give my wife an hour or 2 x 30 mins ,We have done this twice with out a problem.:) I am content with the free WI FI and the bags of laundry !

I agree with you 100% Dan

I always get my stockholder on board credit. I either send a copy of my dividend slip or share certificate to my travel agent and the credit is awaiting me on the ship. ,or if I forget I take a copy on board to prove ownership ,give it to reception and a couple of days later get my on board credit.:)

We have cruised many times but not yet on Seabourn.
Even though we do like dressing for formal occasions, the idea of formal nights is not appealing to us because we tend to go on holiday for at least two months and like to travel as light as possible.
Because of this, packing a tux and cocktail/formal dresses and extra shoes is low down on the list of things we decide to take.
We have always dressed elegantly casual for dining while on board and have never had a problem. If need be, we are happy to go elsewhere to dine on formal nights.
First of all there are NO Formal nights on Seabourn ,just the occasional Formal OPTIONAL night, usually not more than once every 7 days.
On these nights Elegant Casual is fine in all venues including the Main Dinning room. Even on the Formal Optional nights most people do not dress formally. :)

No - Simple english grammar. if you assume the punctuation is correct, there are two equal clauses on either side of the "and".
"jeans - not allowed in the restaurant after 1800 hours
and
not in any venue (including deck grills) on Formal nights."
When you add the comma, you change the meaning of the sentance.
Why are people so anxious to break the rules and class down the experience?
Oh Dear, a retired school teacher ?

Jim in Florida - I can only agree. I do wear jeans often in the daytime, anywhere on a ship, but find it difficult to see why a few people are so obsessed with wearing them, as opposed to the alternatives you describe, that they seem unhappy to change in the evening!
I heartily agree with you Lincslady

The current dress code states ' jeans - not allowed in the restaurant after 1800 hours and not in any venue (including deck grills) on Formal nights.' I quote this from information received yesterday in our booking details, so presume it is up to date and correct.
So this would infer that jeans ARE allowed in any venue (including deck grills) on all nights ,except the Formal Optional Night . On a 2 week cruise i did recently there was only one Formal Optional night.

Are jeans allowed for dinner at the Pool Grill?
Jeans also are worn by quite a lot of people on the Deck BBQ night

I don't really agree... For young trendy people there are highly fashionable jeans (designer) that by all means look much nicer than some other wore down trousers:rolleyes:! They can look awesome with a nice shirt, jacket or beautiful top!

I agree with you 100% Marja :)
Dress Code

The comment by Wripro 100 % correct and sums up precisely the dress code situation.
I remember when nearly every one wore a dark suit and tie to work every day , if they worked in an office ,not any more .Just accept times have changed ,live with it ! :)
