  1. lol..thanks for your suggestions… we have actually thought of doing that…because we are flying in  a few days early we will have a few days  to reroute if there is a strike and looking at all our options ..one way or another we will get there ..

    Has AC extended any options to you for rebooking or cancelling flights without penalty? I know WJ did that before the two recent job actions. I would certainly be looking at alternatives just in case. It’s tough in this country as there are so many regional airports that are only served by one of the national airlines. 

    Yes..I was in touch with Air Canada … and I was offered to go four days earlier before strike deadline on Sept 16 th but we are already going in four days  early on the 20 th .. so that really isn’t an option .. we can cancel with a credit or we can wait to get rerouted by Air Canada . .. they said they will get us there using alternate airline but it could be a milk run I’m thinking .

Thanks everyone for your input… excited about this cruise and really cancelling and rebooking would be a last resort… hoping AC will settle and all will be good … we live on a small island and our flight options are very limited but we will do what is needed to get to Barcelona in time..hopefully we see you all there.

  4. With the Air Canada Strike luming and the added stress that goes with that …I’m seriously thinking of rescheduling my Sept 24 th cruise and going in the spring ….does anyone know if Celebrity will let you do that ? Would there be penalties? Would they give me a full cruise credit ?

    When you look at Manage Reservations can you see any of the financials, cost, balance due?  When a reservation transfers to a TA that info is no longer visible.  So if you can see them X still has the reservation, if not it has been transferred. 
     

     

    It’s still showing the financials …so I guess they still have it …I will try making another phone call tomorrow..my TA is on holidays but since I transferred it to my TA it’s hard to get anyone to talk to me they just tell me to go though my TA…

    Yes…that’s what happened in the past … but this one is taking forever… the email I got from Celebrity said it was received and 5-7 days to be processed…still waiting a month later … TA phoned 3 times they told her she would get an email but could take up to 10 days ..same response on all three calls …I called they told me they couldn’t check as it was in the hands of TA..when I log into my celebrity account I have reservation number etc and have added excursions etc to my cruise …. So I am booked but feel like no one really owns my booking .

  7. Hi cruisers… just wondering if anyone has been in or around this cabin …12118 … we are first time cruisers on the edge series and had no idea where to book. I just figured between the elevators would be good . I’ve been reading lots about noises like creaking and banging and I’m a-bit worried. There seems to be lots of cabins still available and would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

We just find that with premium you’re good .. no wondering what’s included ..just get what you desire and no surprise at the end… I like the bottles of water that I take back to my room every afternoon and the premium teas…the vitamin waters are nice too when your going on an excursion…. The count down is on …most excursions are booked … still thinking on Naples and Kator
