i'll be going to the lgbt meetups on Anthem of the Seas cruise on 9/8. It's awkward sometimes to go up to a group and start talking, especially if you're not 100% sure they are the lgbt meet up. Plus if it's all guys, they may not be that interested in chatting with a queer girl :)

 

But I'll be there. And I bought a Golden Girls T-shirt with a picture of that Dorothy on it that says "friends of dorothy" so i'll be easy to identify as being there for the meetup!

:p Ha! I love it!! My GF and I are cruising in October and we've only gone to the lgbt meetups a handful of times. This shirt would be a great ice breaker. Where'd you get it???

I've been to trunk bay when I spent a week on St John, I would say that it's a very beautiful place to visit but I would never go there if a cruise ship was in port on St Thomas. If you could bump down to different beach on St John while you're there I think you'd have a better experience.

I went on a Halloween cruise 2 years ago on Carnival Dream, it was a lot of fun and lots of people dressed up and partied. But no themed dinners for Halloween on that ship. This Halloween I'll be on a western Mediterranean cruise, I'll bring a costume in hopes of a party, but I'm not getting my hopes up too high... :p

We also like going down to the photo display boards on day two, and scan through the pix and wait for "gaydar" to kick in. It's good entertainment for 30 minutes, if nothing else😉

This made me laugh.. A lot. I never even thought to do this :D

As for the LGBT meet-ups, we're not really drinkers so it's kind of weird for us to sit in a bar in hopes of meeting new friends.

Haven't booked yet, but looking really hard at the Getaway in May 2016 with a quick 2 or 3 day trip down to Key West before the cruise.

Then in the fall of '16 we've been talking about a Mexico cruise out of San Diego (any suggestions on cruise line?).

We are going on NCL Epic this October (Halloween!) and are hoping they offer some exclusive deals on future cruises;)

In just over a week we are taking my (young) adult sons on a spring break carnival cruise. *pray for us* :p

Then at the end of October (Halloween!) we are going to Italy for a cruise/tour. We'll spend 4 days in Rome then one week on NCL epic with stops in Barcelona, Naples, Cannes, Florence, Palma Majorca (not in that order).

It will be our 3rd trip on NCL Epic and we are super excited!

So, after reading all these posts, my girlfriend and I will not be getting off the ship in Jamaica. Looks like a spa day!

And, last week we booked an 11 day Rome / Vatican cruise tour for Halloween of 2015!!! So excited to see Italy <3
