I just had to say I love your models. I have loved cruise ships and model ships ever since I was a young boy. Cruise ships do have a elegance to them even though people think they are ugly hotels on the water. How for many years I have dreamed of building one of Royals ships. So wished that they would come out with a line of plastic detailed models for the general market such as Revell of Germany has done. I am currently working on a 1/250 paper model of the Horizon. I would love to see more pics of your ships. I would love to see more of Splendor as I have been on her twice. One last question, were can you get detailed floor plans that I see in some of theirs? I could spend hours looking at them. Thanks again for bringing two of my loves together crusie ships and models.

Great pics thanks for sharing. Love to see others point of view. This is one ship I want to try out sometime and you have re kindled that fire.

If you're referring to the Carnival Paradise, it sailed for six years as a non smoking ship. If I'm remembering correctly, it was explained by the company that they discontinued the non smoking ship not because of a lack of bookings, but because of the trouble in recruiting and retaining non smoking employees for that ship.

The funny thing is, I just got off of Splendor of the Seas Med cruise and spoke with someone in regards to the new smoking policy and the crew. Now I do not smoke so it does not phase me. She stated that when the ban goes into effect the crew will not have to follow suit as they have there own deck on the stern and a specified smoking room for them. Again don't really care I was just curious into this regards.

Hey Tom, we have been to the med before in 2010 and we fell in love with it. We decided to go back with some good friends of ours so we were going to to the western side with a stop in Rome that I really wanted to do but the air fair was so outrageous right before thanksgiving we decided to go earlier and picked this one. Venice and the Greek isles we have been to three of the islands but am so looking forward in showing our friends all. I was actually born in Athens and adopted when I was six month old and brought to the US so I so love going to Greece. Sometime would love to take the one you took. We are already looking for next year don't think we will do the med so many choices. Take care
