Glad you're amused. That didn't take much. Yes, it has a place to put your KTN, or Known Traveler Number when you check in. If you have a KTN then you know what it is, and can put it in though not required. If you don't know what a KTN is, then you probably don't have one.

I will let you assume what NAJUWN$BBJJ is!!!

Your point is that you enjoy making people feel guilty.

What's gonna happen is gonna happen...and OP sitting vigil won't affect "what happens" that week.

I didn't put my business on a post!!

Just putting a twist on it ...... I'm thinking of the friend.

Thanks, everyone.  I guess we will purchase the Value plan and see what happens.  I generally lock my phone up in the safe and leave it there while cruising, but with a very ill friend, we feel the necessity to stay connected.  Appreciate all you input!

Sorry to hear you have a very ill friend.

Why go if you have so much concerns?? I would just get my money back if I could not enjoy my cruise. But some have money to throw away!!!!!!!!!!!

Not to be rude............. But how much are you a friend going on vacation and leave  a very ill friend to think about your friendship!!

If you're going to use a Passport, you need that information as well as the credit card you want linked to your account. You also need your emergency contact information, and your KTN if you have one. You don't have to put your KTN but I always do. If you don't know what a KTN is, then you don't have one.

Carnival also asks your flight information, though I have never included that in my check-in information. They ask about parking, and your check-in time as well.

    LMAO...... KTN???????

Why do you say KTN and not explain what it is?

If you don't know what NAJUWN$BBJJ is then you can not board!!

Never cruised with Carnival but looking to book a cloud 9 Balcony state room on the Splendor, believe the cabin are pretty much the same as a regular balcony, just close proximity to the Spa and some better toiletries.

But just wandering how busy the Cloud 9 area gets especially on Sea days? Do they limit time in the Thermal suites or Hydrotherapy Pool for example, is the cost of the upgrade from a regular balcony worth it or should we consider a normal balcony then get the cloud 9 pass or pay as we go

Any tips or advise from regulars who use?

    Thanks

Do it and figure it out. Not trying to be rude. But each sailing is different. I've been on 16 cruises and not 1 has been the same.

I'd love to jump into this conversation with a Spa question of my own.  We have booked our first spa cabin for our upcoming Bermuda cruise on Magic.  I've only used the spa on a cruise once (for a massage) and wondered about the general dress code in the Thermal Suite areas.  This might sound like a strange or obvious question, but are people generally in swimsuits, robes, or something else?

YOU ARE ON VACATION!!!! You will find people dress all kind of ways! Do you and enjoy.

Off the Magic 7/6.  Boy, do I miss the days of aft pools and hot tubs being adult only!  Granted, on this sailing there were tons of kids due to schools being out right before the sailing.  As a retired teacher and native NYer I kind of knew what to expect as I used to have to cruise only during school breaks/summer but back then the aft area was adults only.  On this cruise the hot tubs and pool was overrun with kids.  Yes, there was Serenity to go to, but no pool there!  I had sailed on Horizon in the winter (Havana aft wrap) and it was paradise!  Note to self - no more summer cruises unless in Havana area on ships that have Havana.

Sounds like you need to be on a senior citizen ONLY cruise!!

I've done that itinerary twice, and, yes, it's all seniors and tame 40+ folks.  Lovely crowd.  The ports are a bit boring, but I had a fun time on both cruises.

I'm hoping my 7day Magic to Canada in Sept won't have children or college aged people.....hopefully it will a ship full of seniors.

    Carnival is called the "FUNSHIP"!!!

You are looking for the 55+ ship!!

    Any questions - fire away.

Overall an excellent cruise.  Friendly crowd, super staff and service on board, food was pretty good in most venues all week.  Entertainment was so-so in the main theater, but the variety of musicians (Alter Jamm!) around the ship more than made up for it.

Probably the best thing, IMO, outside of a ridiculous line to get off the ship in Grand Turk, nothing ever felt crowded all week.  Comedy shows were tight, but that’s always the case.  Buffet lines never that bad, deck chairs easy to get, pools fairly quiet all week.   Embarkation and Debarkation were about as fast as possible - again, just everything easy and relaxed.

And again, the service.  If you are fortunate to have Alvin, Sherwin and Jess in the main dining room, or Sherin in the Lobby Bar, or just about anyone else on this ship who work so hard, so quick, to make you have a great cruise, you will have a great time.

Weather was good all week.  We loved Amber Cove and this itinerary.  Not many complaints at all.  Sure, you can see some of the differences if you want to find them, some of the cutbacks (bacon on the buffet every other day etc) - but it’s still a cruise, and it was a great time.

Hmmmm...... guess everyone has different OPINIONS. I'm on vacation and never complain. If so why go?!?!?!?!?!?

Was hoping to get some opinions on which of the ships below you would recommend or like better than another.

I have done 4 Princes and 4 Royal cruises but looking to try Carnival.  Would be taking my two daughters, 11 and 14.  Below are the ships we are looking at for a 5 day in October.

    Paradise out of Tampa

    Freedom out of Orlando

    Sunshine  out of Charleston

Any suggestions or recommendation for a Carnival newbie would be appreciated.

Don't know your money!!! Have your kids pick!!

You can't go wrong with any of them!!

I can't stop laughing!!! You nailed it!!!

People following them around will be nuts!

I work at one of the casino Brian came to and they programed 5 slots for him to win.  But then the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ he brought in. They payed him $10,000.00 but made $67,000.00. So I know Carnival will make their money to give him a few FREE cruises.
