  1. Reading Princess' post on Facebook/Twitter has a very optimistic tone and I'm crossing my fingers as we have B2Bs in Jan/Feb on Enchanted.  However, I was just watching Youtube on one of the channels on cruising from a man in Canada with a short first name of 3 letters.  He always hopes that we have a "fantastic day".   He stated in his posting about 3 hours ago (3:30 pm Eastern) that Enchanted will be delayed until sometime in 2021 along with a Royal Caribbean Ship being delayed and Carnival Marti Gras being delayed to Feb 2021.

We'll just have to see what Princess posts eventually on Enchanted's commissioning schedule as their current post may lead some people to believe that Enchanted is on track for deployment later this year.

  2. Thanks for all of the replies.  Been looking at your NCLonline account daily and no banner shows up.  In response to Nchr above, we made final payment at about 125 days before sailing,  Looking online, many insides are already sold out but balconies appear wide opened.  Price for sailaway went up $30 to $579 for inside sailaway.  Currently in an IA room at the moment.  Jenny, thanks for the T&C’s.  I had not read that prior so it makes a lot of sense.  Will keep everyone posted if we do get the email or if I can see the banner on my NCL account.  Either way will be a good cruise.  Looking forward to smelling the ocean again in a few months!

  3. Seamstress.  Thanks for the reply.  Our booking was direct with NCL with their CAS - Casinos at Sea Department.   I failed to mention also that our NCL Gem sailing last year was done through CAS also, but we had the ability to place a bid at exactly 80 days before sailing. However that cruise appeared to have a greater number of bookings based on the “sold out” categories from my recollection.  Thanks for taking the time to reply and the details from your own experience.

  4. We are booked on a 11 day Western Caribbean cruise on Epic and have 75 days until sailing.   Booking was through CAS using a cruise certificate through Caesars.  I have been checking daily both email, junk email and also my Ncl.com account for the ability to place a bid but nothing yet.  Is it unusual to not have it show up yet.  From what I can tell, the cruise looks like there are quite a few categories available for purchase and notice that prices have fallen for insides, balconies and mini suites for sailaway categories.  Tried calling for upgrade prices to do it direc.   $500 pp to go frominside to balcony is a bit too much for my budget.  Happy with our cabin but having a chance to get something better for a lower price is even nicer.  Also, I like having something to hope for each day until sailing as it adds to the fun of waiting for your next cruise.  Am I worrying too much that there won’t be any opportunity to bid at all?  Appreciate anyone sharing their experience if they didn’t get the initial opportunity to bid until they were closer to their sailing.  Thanks!

  5. Wife and I just purchased Travelguard for an upcoming October cruise. In addition to some of the advantages that the others above have stated regarding insurance, I look specifically if the insurance pays medical claims as primary ahead of any other insurance that you have. It may be naive on my part but if something happens on the ship, that Travelguard would be more familiar with the facilities and have seen claims from ships on a more frequent basis than my personal insurance carrier from work. My thinking is that it will make the claim, somewhat easier to process(?).

  6. I always wondered (and dreamed <smile>), if I was able to make the table maxes on a cruise ship - as an example, had 800 outside and 210 on the 6 with a point of 8 on a table with a table max of 200. Would I then be able to make a come bet of say, 50 bucks and back with 100 odds, which would make the total that I've bet on a number more than the table max. Is this something that the cruise line would allow or does it depend on the cruise? I'll be going on Princess next month.

I've only had one situation where I've built my place bets where all the numbers were over 200 but the table max was 1K in Vegas. I'm hoping to build my bets to the max but I want to find a way to extend my bet amounts higher in case a once in a life time streak happens and I'm on the ship since limits are so law. Thanks again for your help.
