What is it with the Indian food on the buffets? Our last cruise had it on the tables for lunch almost everyday. Sorry It's nasty !

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Indian food so I am not complaining :D They had a good amount of Indian food on my Celebrity cruise as well but then they did have other cuisine types too.

I think overall Indian food is popular which is obviously why they have it, I think it also has something to do with the fact that there are a lot of Indian crew and hence Indian chefs. The flavors can be too strong for some people but then that applies to Thai food as well.

How many alcoholic drinks per day and what exactly are those drinks?

Thanks for the responses. I think a 3:45pm dropoff should be fine in that case. The railway sounds nice but $150 for two for about an hours ride is a bit too rich for my tastes.

Has anyone heard of the company Alaska Cruise Transfer and Tours. They pick up at your hotel and drop off at the ship. It's a 3 hour tour with photo stops.

Is it a reputable company? Anyone use them before??

I think this is the same company as whittier shuttle. Looks like one company under different names.

I'm planning to take a bus from ANC to Whittier as it's much more economical... however the only schedule I can find are for a trip that includes a 1 hour wildlife tour, it leaves Anchorage airport at 12:30pm and arrives in Whittier at the port 3:45pm

We will be leaving on the Sapphire Princess that evening at 8:30pm... if we arrive in Whittier at 3:45pm will it be too late? What is the earliest time we can board the ship?

the package is $54 so if one is a beer drinker would have to drink 10 beers (normal 5% variety) just to break even :eek: Do people actually drink that much on a cruise :confused:

$6 for a 12oz bottle of beer? wow! that's pretty damn expensive for a small beer!! $7 for a glass of wine makes much more sense.
