  1. Given Jason's assurances, I dug the email out of my spam box and completed the survey. Not to worry if you haven't sailed Regent before. It's not about the Regent experience. It's an "understand your market" survey. While it doesn't really ask for commentary about Regent per se, it does ask a lot of [multiple choice] questions about what drives your purchase decisions. It's worth giving that feedback if you'd like to see Regent go (or continue) in your favored directions.

Even though the amateurish, red flag-laden, email was off-putting, the survey itself is very well-constructed, if a bit lengthy.

no such luck for me, must have permanently deleted it. No free cruise for me :D

We look forward to welcoming you on board your first RSSC voyage next year!

You are correct, we have also sent the survey to Future Booked guests as we acknowledge you will ultimately become Past Guests in due course.

Not next year Jason - NEXT MONTH ;p 21st June

  3. Yesterday an email was sent from a research partner on behalf of Regent Seven Seas Cruises with our brand name spelled incorrectly. We apologize for their mistake, and the confusion this may have caused.

Feedback from our past guests is extremely valuable and this survey was sent to a randomly selected group of past guests, and there is a sweepstakes for a free cruise on Regent Seven Seas Cruises for those complete the survey.

It was sent to us Jason and next June will be our very first cruise with Regent ;p

  4. Yes it's completely pointless but it's just the way they do it. Maybe they want people to commit emotionally to the premium excursions so they can know they have sufficient people. With the free ones people sometimes book on spec and then cancel later. You can cancel the premium ones too I believe, within time limits of course, but once you've paid your money, you probably are fairly committed to that excursion.

The nice thing is that you can get the credit from your onboard account in cash, which can be quite handy at times.

The way I read it (though have not yet been on my cruise) is that it also helps you spend your OBC which you may or may not use. A case of use it or lose it.

  5. If you wash the clothes and the shirts, for instance, need ironing, send them it for "ironing only" (much less expensive). My DH won't wear no iron dress shirts and they come out of the suitcase wrinkled. I send his dress shirts in to be ironed as soon as we get onboard. Not expensive at all.

Now that is a service I would probably use. Is there a price list somewhere?

  6. Best suites on Navigator in our opinion are the PH towards the front, we have been in 902 and 1001 ,quiet corridor, no noise above and not the aft vibration. This is worse in the theatre and in some parts of Compass rose.

We are in 902 in June. I was a bit worried about it as it was one of the last remaining and I wondered why.

    I have two concerns:

    1. I am disable (walk with a walking stick). Is it a long corridor to get back to the stairs? My DW won't use open lifts so it is either the stairs or walking aft to the covered lifts.

    2. How is this suite in rough seas?

I did take a couple of paid excursions, and found them worthwhile. The paid ones usually have 20-25 people in them, while the included will usually have 30-40. Usually there's something special in them (for instance, a Grenada excursion included entrance to the Allhambra, which limits the number of people it will admit at any given time on any given day, and thus makes tickets hard to get), but not always.

If the TS wants to spend extra I would recommend booking before hand a company called Rome in Limo. They are heavily recommended if you look in the Italy section on CC. They usually use a Mercedes mini van holding up to 8 passengers. We used them in Pisa, Florence and Rome. I would highly recommend them as they can go where coaches can not as they are a small transport. If you can get 6 other people to join you to share the cost it actually works out cheaper per head than most cruise ships offer.

On my last cruise I got people to join us through our ships roll call. It was a bit of work but fun :).

  8. I have just checked when our balance is due for our January '19 cruise.

The invoice forwarded to us from our TA from Regent shows a due date of 6th October 2018, but our TA paperwork states the balance has to reach them but the 2nd August 2018.

    That is 8 weeks difference!!

Makes you wonder in today's electronic payment age, just what they will be doing with our quite significant payment.

I had the same with my TA. When I queried it I was told they deal with all kinds of cruise lines and January (in my case) was the generic time their accounts department collects their monies. They did agree by email to change mine to the same month as Regent asked for their monies.

  9. I will be a first time Regent cruiser, I wonder if I got a Explorer Veranda Suite - H guarantee if I would be moved up on my first cruise to a Master Suite? A Seven Seas or Grand Suite would be acceptable also. Just kidding obviously!

I'm a first time Regent cruiser as well. Unfortunately every cabin category was wait listed a year out so my chances of a free upgrade are zero I would say :(

  10. The generic name is Cinnarizine It is used to treat a number of problems. It is a type of antihistamine drug, sometimes known as a travel sickness or balance disorder treatment. It is used to treat vestibular disorders (balance disorders).

It is not sold in the US. But you can mail order it from Canada (Link Here)

    About $35 of 100 25mg pill.

these were so good for me that on my last cruise I took one tablet 20 minutes before sailing and never needed a second one - great.(y)

  11. Thanks.. just assuming it will let me do both of us, as on our booking it has both of our names under my sign in.

Wanting to do it at 12;01 eastern time as would think Regent agents won't be working until morning...

they opened dead on midnight for me ;)

ring Regent and ask them to send you a PDF of your excursions ahead of time. It is easier to read and will give you a good idea of the excursions (though not what has been sold out sadly).

  12. Mine is the same one. Others on our roll call are able to see it' date=' but I cannot, and clearly neither can Gary.

And, yes, I've cleared my cache. Ever since the site redesign I have to do that constantly not to get an error message during simple navigation. I just did it again. Incidently, every time I do it, I of course have to re-login. And it never recognizes my password, so I have to re-set the password (back to the same one I was previously using).[/quote']

    Thank you Laura,

Our M&M is now showing :)
