  1. Previously everyone had to be tested before cruising and provide negative test.  Most people ended up getting covid after the cruise.  Now no testing.  People have to realize this is a virus and at some point you are going to contract it.  No amount of shots and boosters prevent the new flu type.  We just have to step out in faith and go for it.  We don't sail until October, but are going to Canada so we will have to get a test unless Canada realizes nothing will prevent this new type of virus.  Wear 4 layers of masks if you are scared of catching anything, but if you can still smell a fart thru your masks, I believe you can still get sick.  So sorry.

  2. My husband and I have traveled more during covid than any other time.  We have been to about 9 different states. Both of us are vaccinated.  I also work a place where there were large number of people not vaccinated.  I transfered to a new job where I was hardly around anyone and guess what?  I got covid.  This new covid acts like the regular flu.  I slept for a week and lived on Mucinex.  No one else in my family got it.

I think at some point everyone will get "it", testing or not testing, because it is a virus.

  3. We are stopping in Portland Maine on a Sunday in October.  Because its a Sunday, the bus does not run and the train has very limited hours.  Is there a less expensive way then paying for an excursion on the cruise line?  We most likely want to stay longer than the RCCL's shore excursion.

  5. On our last cruise, we were heading back to the ship from the beach about 4:00 in the afternoon. As we were heading back there was a group of older adults 60's to 80's weaving in front of us. 2 of them were almost carrying a man who was about 80. We asked if we could help. One of the women was giggling and grabbed my husband to tell him that they had been at Carlo's and Charlies. The man they were carrying was her uncle. He fell out of the cab when they got to the port. They were going to try to make it to the beach, but stopped at Carlo's and Charlies for lunch. Needless to say, she told us that they ran out of cash because they were drinking so much and had to use their cc to pay. She told us that by the end, the ladies were lifting their shirts to compare ***** size. We just about died laughing. When we got back to the ship, we were telling our friends who of course thought we were making this up. About 2 nights later on one of the dress up nights we ran into this group at one of the photo shots. Were they embarassed when we asked about their Uncle (if he was all right). Never to old to have fun. This was a great group from Canada
