  1. I don't have all of them, but they did include X-Men: Apocalypse, Zootopia, Jungle Book, Finding Dory, The Martian, Deadpool (at midnight), Star Trek Beyond, Batman vs. Superman, Captain America Civil War, & Independence Day Resurgence. We watched a couple of those, and I wrote down a few, plus I remembered a couple.

Thanks so much, Cindy. That is exactly what I needed to know. :D

  2. Thanks, Cindy. I couldn't find the post with the dive in movies you mentioned. We sail Friday and it is an 8 day cruise, also, but not to Curacao. I would love to go there. If you do find the movies that were shown I would appreciate it. Thanks for your help.

Edited: I found it, Cindy. Thanks so much.

  3. We will be on the Magic next week and I am trying to find out what movies they are showing. I have John Heald's list of November movies but wondered what they are showing on the Magic. If you still have your Fun Times, could you let me know? I would appreciate it. We have sailed the Magic twice before and love her. Looking forward to sailing her again. Hope you had a good cruise and thanks for your help. :D

  4. Yes, but not for the reasons you might think. The Horizon's first few months are likely to be spent cruising around Europe, followed by a transatlantic to New York, followed by a repositioning to its new home port (I'm betting on Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Galveston, or Port Canaveral, but they could surprise me).

More interesting is that when a new home port is chosen for the Horizon, that will probably mean that one or more ships will move to a different port, and that will probably mean some nice, interesting, one-way trips. Those are the ones that interest me the most.

We sailed the Magic from Barcelona directly to Galveston.

  5. Lambie, I am so glad this thread got bumped up as I somehow missed it last year. We brought the Magic over from Barcelona three years ago and your great review and super pictures brought it all back. We will be on her in about a month and it was so nice to reminisce.

I so enjoyed meeting you and Nana in the Platinum lounge last January before boarding the Triumph. We will be back on the Triumph in December.

I especially love your pictures. Just wondering what kind of camera you use to get such nice sharp pictures.

Thanks for taking the time to post such wonderful reviews. :D

  6. I see that this thread is about a year old. We sailed the Jubilee out of Galveston in 2002 over Fall break in our schools. It was a 4-day cruise and we loved the Jubilee as she was in the same class as our first cruise on the Celebration. However, it was this cruise that convinced us that a 4-day cruise is too short. We have always taken longer cruises since then except for one cruise to nowhere as a result of a hurricane in the Gulf. We enjoyed our cruise aboard the Jubilee. I have many of the same pictures as posted above.

  7. This is obviously a personal choice. We have no interest in anytime dining as we dine early at home so early dining is our choice. Also, we enjoy meeting other people and like sitting with them every night. Also, we like having the same waiters every night. We have seen the lines for anytime dining and just have no interest in it. We will always keep traditional dining. Again, this is a personal choice of ours. JMHO.

  8. We did this on our Legend Panama Canal cruise in August. I tried to start it but my thread kept knotting up in the back and I don't think I even got one row done. I left it on the ship.

However, I do have the instructions for the flip flops and the macarame bracelet.

  9. Can I wear dressy capris in the MDR? I have several nice dresses for the formal night. I appreciate your comments.

Since you mention that you have dresses for elegant night(s), I am assuming that you are asking about the remaining nights. I was just on the Legend a month ago and capris were popular in the dining room. Yes, they were nice capris and the ladies all looked very nice. However, on elegant night I did not see any capris. I did see long dressy pants and lovely dresses ranging from Sunday dresses to pageant formals. Also, I did see very fancy flip flops or rather, dressy sandals (very sparkly) with dressy pants and dresses. (Not the kind you pick up at the drug store for swimming).

I hope this helps. Have a wonderful cruise.

  10.

Part of the reason I write them is to have a travel diary to go back and reread,

I echo the others, Lambie, as to what a great review this is. I totally understand about it being like a diary. I have done many reviews in the past and it is so much fun to go back and see our waiter's names and other information about the cruise that one tends to forget over the years. I do need to start doing them again. Thanks so much for this fabulous review and your gorgeous pictures. :D

  11. Hello Joan!!! How wonderful to see you!!! Thank you!! I had two friends on the Panama cruise! They were in a Suite -- and the Casino. I think that was their two homes!!! Maybe some eating, too!!

LOL Lambie. Then you know from them how wonderful the cruise was. Hated to get off in Long Beach. Some of our group "lived" at the casino, too. Looking forward to the rest of your review. I love your pictures!!! :D

  12. We went on Dora's city tour a couple of weeks ago and it cost $60 per person. It would have been $75 if we'd stayed at 4 people, but because we went above 10, the price dropped to $60. She was a great guide and we had plenty of time to wander a little in case we wanted to shop. She was open to suggestions but all of us wanted to see the places listed in her regular tour.

I was on this tour a month ago on the Carnival Legend Panama Canal transit and I cannot say enough good things about Dora. She is excellent and has been doing this for a long time. She is interesting and efficient. We were a group of about 20 so we paid $60 each. Well worth it. She got us back to the ship in plenty of time. I highly recommend Dora. Her email is dora@cartagenatour.com and the website is http://www.cartagenatour.com.

  13. Lambie, what a great review and photos. We met in the Platinum lounge back in January for the Triumph cruise. You were with Mom. I was talking to good friend, Laurie and her daughter and grandson. Somehow we never connected afterwards on FB. I love your review of the Magic and wonderful pictures. We sailed her from Barcelona to Galveston a few years ago. Your super pictures brought back those wonderful memories. Thanks for a terrific review of your cruise. :D

We just returned from the Carnival Legend Panama Canal cruise which was one of the very best cruises ever. The Legend is now in Australia. Wish I could have made the trip over.

    Thanks for your great review.

(I found you and am sending you a friend request (a few months late - LOL).

  14. Wasn't this an amazing cruise? We LOVED Cartagena. On Panama Canal day, we were up at the front of Deck 9 at 7:00 and heard that people had slept out there overnight, even though there were crazy thunderstorms.

Yes, it was truly an amazing cruise. I loved going through the canal and I can believe that people slept out there all night since they did not want to move to let others get pictures when we started going through the locks. We loved the entire cruise - even with the thunderstorms!
