We just returned from Seattle to Alaska and back. Four of us traveled on the ship and had a great time. My friend carried a case (12 bottles) of fine wine on board and no one said a word. We had a bottle for dinner every night and found the sommelier sevice to be spectacular. We also brought a couple of bottles on board at two stops for in-room cocktails. Again, no questions asked. The wine by the glass menu was quite adequate with about 12 white and 12 red choices. Nothing spectacular but lots of varieties of wine. Overall a good selection for whatever food was served. Get to know the somms and they will treat you well...:D:D:D:D

We will be in a PH. We can board at 11 AM, but the cruise doesn't leave until 5 PM. Does anyone know if we can get back off the ship after lunch for a quick walk to Pike Place Market?

If I upgrade to the premium wine package will the butler bring a bottle of wine to the room with canapes? There are two couples traveling together and both are in PH2 across from each other. We will share canapes each night and it would make sense to have a bottle of wine rather than four glasses.
