I wonder if the travel insurance that my JB card has is enough, it says that as long i pay with it my full trip im covered but not sure of all details.

If your friends drink a lot of (especially cold) water at home (I always have an insulated mug of ice water next to me, and it gets refilled constantly), taking a travel 'mug' or insulated water bottle can be super helpful - you can refill in the buffet, instead of having to constantly ask for new glasses of water (or end up drinking a lot of pop.) 

How's the actual water in the cruises?  I drink water like a fish now and no alcohol so i've been wondering how im going to do this 🥴

Me too!  I actually took even longer this time around, i think im going in #4 but it has been 10 years since my last one, and i know a whole lot has changed, def following.

It is totally dependent upon the ship. Small ships do not require reservations. You show up when you want. Big ships (Epic, Breakaway, Getaway, Escape, Bliss, Joy, Encore, Prima, Viva) have always required reservations (starting 2009). You can always go stand-by,,, they will let you in 10 minutes before show time and you can grab the seats no one else wanted. 

 

Many cruise line do this for larger ships for crowd control. Theaters on NCL big ships hold around 800 passenger,,, and you don't want 4500 people to show up trying to get in.

Wow it's been a while since i cruised (crazy, i know) but daughter is sailing soon and im planning my own but very surprised that you need to schedule this, before you could just show up.  I guess is one of many covid changes.

I believe that people that are so worried about any "locals" as described here and many other threads should stay home and that way you don't have to get all worked up on your paid vacation. I get so annoyed by the word "locals", like there are no "locals" in your area and do you move for that reason? Grow up and enjoy :p
