  1. My experience in Copenhagen last summer would make me concerned about making a flight to the US that early.

Disembarkation was disorganized after we left the ship.  If I recall correctly, it took us about 20 minutes to find our luggage.  The ground transportation area at the cruise terminal was chaotic at best.  I don’t recall many cabs and buses for the airport were intermingled with buses for hotels with no signs indicating which was which.

It took us about 45 minutes to check in for our Delta flight, despite using the priority line.  Passport control was a zoo.  I would guess most of this was caused by lack of airport workers post Covid, but the experience made me vow to avoid Copenhagen at all costs.

  2. Using my very rusty Danish, I read that Flodhest is asking how to get the required travel testing in Hawaii before flying back home to Denmark.

They will be sailing on HAL from Canada to Hawaii and then flying home from there.

My guess is that Flodhest (Hippopotamus in English) may understand a reply in English from CC members in Hawaii.

There is a covid testing facility in the Honolulu airport.

  3. Does anyone have experience with this covid test?  Just contacted HAL and they could not tell me if this specific test is accepted.  I am thinking it is as it is a molecular test - molecular tests are on the list, but wanted to make sure as I would rather not scramble at the pier.

    Thanks,

    Don

  4. I have stayed in 171, but my nephew was in 173, so I have actually been in that stateroom. Ruth's answer is spot on, as usual. The rooms with tubs are slightly larger than the rooms with just showers - basically you have room for an extra nightstand and the bathroom is larger to accommodate the tub.

    Hope this helps.

    Don
