  1. I realize that this is a long shot, but does anyone have any alternative contact email addresses or phone numbers for Native Choice Tours in Costa Maya?

We booked (and paid for) a private tour with them for 3/18.  I just realized yesterday that it got transcribed incorrectly from the original email thread and is listed in the confirmation email as 3/8.  I've been attempting to contact them to straighten it out since yesterday morning.  I've emailed two different email addresses (help@thenativechoice.com and reservations@thenativechoice.com) with no response and have attempted to call two different numbers (+52(998)869-4000 - no answer,  +52(983)103-5955 - call cannot be completed as dialed).  Getting anxious that we'll have paid them and will be out of luck come tour time...

    Thanks in advance!

  2. Is this something new?

We cruise 5 to 6 times a year and usually in full suites and have never got a bottle of sparkling wine.

Is this specific to certain ships?

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

I don't know. I copied and pasted that from a list of benefits in the FAQ section of the website. It says it's for Grand Suite and above. I was wondering if maybe it wasn't true...

  3. Thank you, again.

The bottle of sparkling wine came from the list of Benefits of the Royal Caribbean Suites program on the RC Website:

Welcoming amenities awaiting in the suite include

    • 1 bottle of Chandon
    • 1 bottle of still water
    • 1 bottle sparkling water
    • Fruit plate
    • Luxury spa bathrobes (for use onboard only)
    • Exclusive bathroom amenities, including hospitality-sized shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer and shower gel

  4. Thank you!

Unlimited drinks during that 3.5 hours? And from that list that I saw posted in one thread on here? (One kind of vodka, one kind of rum, etc, a few beers, one brand of a few different wines...?)

And a bottle of sparkling wine delivered to the cabin?

And we can carry on 2 bottles of wine?

  5. We just booked a cruise in a 2 bedroom Grand Suite on Majesty. We've never sailed in a suite before and I'm a little confused reading through some of these posts about what drink options are available for suites. It seems that Majesty doesn't have all of the options for coffee, beer, wine, other alcohol, that other ships have for suites. Can someone tell me what they do have? Wondering if we want to buy beverage packages...

  6. We are a family of 5 who will be in Stockholm on the Celebrity Silhouette (Frihamnen port) on Thursday, June 14, 10:30-6:30. There are 3 other ships in port that day, so 11,000 or so passengers total. We would like to visit the Vasa Museum, Skansen (partial tour - skipping the zoo/aquarium, but getting some quick food while there), and Gamla Stan. We're thinking that we'll take public transportation (#76 bus to Vasa, walk to Skansen, then ferry from Skansen to Gamla Stan, then #76 bus back to port).

    Questions:

Is this feasible in our time frame?

Will one 24-hour public transportation pass cover both the bus and the ferry?

With so many people in port and with our arrival being late morning, are we better off doing Vasa or Skansen first? i.e. Will Vasa be less crowded a little later in the day?

Can we do all of this with credit card payments or will we need local currency for anything?

    Thanks for any input!

  7. ghstudio, Thanks for the recommendation.

If you have a reservation, aren't they holding a table for you? A table for a party of 5 is different from one table for 2 and one table for 3. Part of why I wanted reservations is because a table for 5 can be difficult.

Also, if I try to do separate reservations, will that cancel the reservations that I already have, assuming that I do already have them?

  8. Hi All,

I'm hoping that someone has had this issue and conquered it and can give me advice. We are a family of 5 booked in two cabins for an upcoming cruise and have booked Select/Anytime Dining. Both reservations are under my control. I am trying to make dining reservations online. When I go into either reservation's Cruise Planner, click on Select Dining, then click on Add to Cart, it opens a window with the option to add guests to the reservation. I put in the name and other reservation number and a window opens within that page that just says "null".

I called the Celebrity number for website assistance (and waited on hold for 30 minutes). The nice receptionist said that she couldn't help with understanding the website error. (Isn't that what the website assistance number is for???) She did enter several reservations for me and sent me an email with all of those reservations listed. She said that the reservations are linked in their system and now that some reservations are made with them linked, I should be able to get in.

Well, I still have the same issue with the "null" error. Plus, when I go into the calendar, none of the reservations that she made are listed.

Do I really have those reservations?

Can anyone help me with a work-around?

Sorry so long! Thanks in advance for any advice!

  9. We are currently booked on the Eclipse Baltic for July 1, 2018, and my understanding was that it DID dock in Stockholm and not Nynashamn.

Looking here, you can see it listed for Stockholm port (July 9): http://ports.cruisett.com/schedule/Sweden/681-Stockholm/July_2018/

And looking here, you can see it listed later in July for Nynashamn: http://ports.cruisett.com/schedule/Sweden/825-Nynashamn_Stockholm/July_2018/

So, maybe it depends on the itinerary.

  10. Hello,

We are considering booking a 12-night Baltic cruise on Eclipse, round trip out of Amsterdam, July 1, 2018. We're debating between this and an 11-night similar Baltic cruise out of Warnemunde (Berlin) on the Regal Princess. We have a few questions:

    1. Does the Eclipse cruise through the archipelago on its way to/from port in Stockholm? I've read about this route being very scenic which would be a big plus for me. (We really enjoyed sitting on our balcony and watching the scenery go by on our Alaska cruise a couple of years ago and this strikes me as similar.) Is the Eclipse too big to navigate this area? Princess's website seems to indicate that they dock at Nynashamn, which I believe means that they don't cruise through the islands, so this would be a plus for Celebrity if the Eclipse does.

    2. The Eclipse does not stop in Oslo while the Princess does. Any opinions as to whether this is a big loss? (I recognize that they would just be opinions.)

    3. How feasible is it to tour Berlin from Eclipse's stop in Warnemunde? Is it too far/too long to travel with 3 kids? The ship is slated to be in port from 9am-11p.

    4. Any recommendations for what's best to choose for the current Celebrity Go Big/Better/Best promotion? We will have one cabin with 3 kids and one cabin with 2 adults. Adults are drinkers who are on the border of value for the Ultimate drink package vs. Classic, but the 4 sea days may push us over... We don't generally do much spending on board except for shore excursions for tender ports in order to save time with guaranteed early tenders...

    Thanks for any input!!

  11. From what I've read Jewel attracts an older crowd, but what your expereince about that - my boys are 11 and 13 and quite sociable, and loves making new friends in the pool! If anyone has any experience with tweens/teens? Maybe even a copy of a recent kid cruise compass?

My boys are 15, 11, and 9 and we are on the June 2 sailing. I will report back here about the experience for them.

  12. This may be a stupid question, but I am checking in for our cruise next week and already printed our SetSail pass for our family of 5. Do I really need to print the "Vacation Documents" at 22 pages for each of our 2 cabins? The email from Royal Caribbean said to print them and have them with you but 44 pages seems excessive when it all seems to be just informational.

    Thanks in advance!

  13. Hi All,

I am currently on the May 15th sailing and I will not be traveling with RCI again. We just finished in Santorini and it was a nightmare. The ship's shore excursion dropped us off in Faria and we went immediately to the cable cars. It was a 2.5hr wait and we were in danger of missing the last tender back! Unfortunately, we had to walk down the 900, feces-covered donkey steps. Also, we had no RCI tour escort, so we had no idea how they were keeping track of tour participants. It was miserable and stressful. Athens, we docked 3-hours late and we still required to leave at the same time...we did not get our money's worth from these tours.

Internet is not worth the cost!! It's spotty and barely connects. I will be traveling with my normal carrier Norwegian who values the importance of their customers.

Could you please tell us what the reason was for the late docking in Athens?

  14. I don't think Choice Air changed your flight, the airline did but Choice Air definitely should have told you. I suspect airlines do that frequently to reservations not booked directly. I experienced a similar issue on our trip to Australia that I booked through another "cheap air" site. I had 3 different changes to our flights prior to flying, all done by the airline.

May be true, but as you said, Choice Air definitely should have informed us. Plus, they lied to me repeatedly and kept trying to tell me that it was changed because the 3:30 flight no longer existed, when I could see that it did exist, and when ultimately they were able to book us on that "nonexistent" flight. It shouldn't have taken lies, multiple phone calls, and unfulfilled promises of calls back to end up back where we started. And that doesn't even get into the seat assignment fiasco...

  15. Quick reply because I have to get to work...

They changed our outgoing flight without notifying us. We were supposed to be leaving at 3:30 pm. They changed it to 7:30 am giving us an all-day layover in Atlanta. My husband just happened to check our flights and notice it. Then they tried to tell us that the 3:30 flight was cancelled when we could see that it wasn't. After several phone calls, promises of return phone calls that never happened, we finally got back on the 3:30.

Then, they somehow created 3 different codes for our reservation so we thought we had seats booked through them but they never got booked with the airline. Airline was telling us that with the different codes for the same flights, we may show up as flying on one code but show up as no-shows for the second code, thereby cancelling our return flights and putting our names on the no-fly list. But the airline couldn't help us because we didn't book with the airline.

Repeated phone calls again. People clearly reading off a script and not understanding what our issues were, just going back to the beginning of the script. Numerous promises of return phone calls without them actually happening. Seriously HOURS on the phone over a period of weeks and weeks....

I THINK we have it sorted out now, but am relying on them telling us that one of the reservation codes is a "dummy" code and that it won't matter that we don't have seats assigned under that code and that being no-shows for that code won't hurt us. We'll see.

  16. We purchased our flights with Choice Air and will never do it again. There have been numerous problems and I have spent hours on the phone trying to fix everything. We fly in a few days and I'm not going to be convinced that all of the problems were fixed until we arrive back home in a couple of weeks.

We purchased months ahead, for the same price that we would have had booking directly. I thought the purported "we will make sure to get you to your ship" insurance made it worth it to book through Choice Air. If I were looking at a last-minute flight for the same price as elsewhere, I certainly wouldn't go with Choice Air since you won't have time to address any problems. It took us months to get our issues addressed and, like I said, I'm still not convinced that it will all be ok.

  17. We're heading out on Jewel of the Seas for the 9-night Greek Isles cruise in a few weeks. I know that the first one or two Greek Isles cruises of the season just returned. It's a long shot, but was anyone on one of those and have any information?

    Daily activities list?

    Review of shows?

Did you tender in Mykonos and Santorini?

    Drink menus?

    Food reviews?

    Which nights were formal nights?

    Any information/opinions welcome!!
