  1. First Premier with $1500 CC (casino cash) , recently found out that the CC does not accumulate points. Would like to hear from other degenerate gamblers, oh I mean video game enthusiasts strategies on getting the best bang with the CC. My only 2 thoughts are to go balls to the wall, play high limit slots and blow through the CC fast or just play my typical bets until it’s gone. Please share your CC strategies. Cheers!

  2. Sunshine, March 2018, Serenity. As always packed pretty early, I get up there early. Traveled solo this time and like being at the end. I’m not a chair hogger but I do go up around 8am. I don’t want to waste a minute on my cruise and enjoy staying there all day. There was a man who came up around 11am foaming at the mouth looking for a spot for him and his wife. No loungers left, sorry buddy you got here to late. Period. I went to grab lunch and came back to tag on my towel, I was gone most 25 mins, and there Mr. Foaming at the mouth holding his towel watching the clock, sorry buddy. He must have been there over an hour until someone did not come back in time. I now will bring post it notes to put on towel, I’m in pool, come scream hey the person in row 2, seat 1 are you here? There are the chair hogs, there are ppl who like to spend the day at the pool and then there are the babies that slept in and cry because they can’t find a seat.

  3. Where is the comedy club located that makes it so bad?

Limelight lounge way to small, we were told to get there 30 minutes before, you need to get there 1 hour ahead.

Just went in November and started this post, sailing her again in April out of Port Canaveral. The smoke was gross and you smell it as soon as you get on ship, my cabin was on 8th deck and still smelled. Crammed space on deck. Jiji’s was awesome, steakhouse great! No issue finding loungers, Serenity pretty but you need to go way aft for quiet.

  4. A lowly happy Carnival cruiser with over 30 cruises, I have a question.

I cruise solo a lot and living mostly on SS now, I'm always looking to find the least expensive cabin at the least expensive period of the year. Don't mean to be cheap, it just has to be that way if I continue to cruise. Intrigued by the SOLO cabin concept of some of the newer NCL ships I see pricing on their site of $599-$799 for a week and find this well within my parameters. However, whenever I try to book one of these cabins NCL always DOUBLES the price like it does with every other cabin ? (just like Carnival does) But, if this is by definition a SOLO cabin why do they double the price upon selecting it on their website ? Am I entering information incorrectly or what ? Thanks for your help and please don't beat up on me. :D

I have the same issue. When I booked last March for March 17th 2018, solo was $849, now the balcony’s are $929 so I wanted to see if the solo price came down and it now shows $1599 for solo, and yes I put in 1 guest.

  5. You can't combine two rooms into one for upgrade purposes. You could book a cabin you like together now with both of you in it, before final payment, and then bid on an upgrade if they become available. But if you don't get the upgrade, you'd be sharing a cabin. Some of the rooms the main bed splits into two though, so it might work.

Also, I don't think studios get upgrade offers?

    Thank you!

  6. Its so enjoyable to see decorated doors going down a hallway and yes I have used them as a compass to my room. I immediately think these cruisers are having a great time and planned every detail of their vacation. I say kudos and hope to see more on my November sailing!
