Loving your updates from a very cold Scotland - look forward to next week and hope the suite - suite transfer is seamless for you

Does anyone have any up to date photos of either L301/302 - am especially interested in whether the sofa now coverts into an extra bed or if they still place a roll-away into the room if you have 3 people? Thanks

Currently on sapphire and yup they arrived in cabins one or 2 days ago. Automatic shutoff and nice for making a coffee in the evening or early morning.

Anyone with experience doing the Princess shore excursion from Greenock to Edinburgh? It includes the Edinburgh Castle, a tour of the city, a lunch and some time on your own. Runs around $200/person. The other option is simply transportation to and from arranged by Princess for $90. We were originally going to do it all on our own, but our departure from Greenock was changed from 10:00 pm to 6:00 pm. We really want to see Edinburgh and, in particular, the Castle. But, with the length of trip from Greenock and relatively short port time for what we want to accomplish we're thinking about taking the safe way and doing the full Princess excursion. However, I'm sure it's way overpriced.
Coming from Edinburgh the castle is amazing, a not to be missed. Individual tickets to the castle are expensive and long lines toget in, which I’d imagine you don’t have on the tour. Also if Greenock rather than south queensferry I’d take the safer princess option rather than miss the boat!

Are you planning on going to Edinburgh or St. Andrews? I am born and brought up in Edinburgh, now live in Aberdeen but just back from 2 holidays trips as well to St. Andrews so can give lots of place knowledge if you need xx

Will do. Am actually really excited. Have been put off trying Princess a bit due to lack of Crows Nest (Skywalkers just faces the wrong way[emoji6]) but we absolutely loved Celebrity - it was such a step up from p&o so really looking forward to Princess now.

Our last 3 cruises have been Celebrity *2 and the p@o last year ( too big for us and not the same league) Really pleased to be going back on princess.

firstly congratulations on your marriage. Paris is a wonderful city but there is a lot to do, as there is in London. My one piece of advice is that the ship may dock in the container port in Le Havre which from memory is a good distance from the actual town. We certainly did on last cruises. If you decide to embark in Southampton, you have London but actually there is a lot to do in Southampton as we discovered last year when we spent a couple of nights pre cruise. Despite living in the uk we had never visited before. Like others have said I’d be wary of try to do too much/ cut it fine precruisexx

I feel like I’m trying so hard to fit Paris into my trip. There is a British Isles cruise that leaves from Dublin. Is the air port more reliable in Paris? This cruise is a little weird though, it starts in Dublin but doesn’t actually leave until the following day at 5pm. So would it just be like a hotel the first night?

We did the fjords a couple of summers ago ( although) on another cruise line and they were absolutely spectacular. Given our amazing scenery at home I was blown away. Fjords for me.

We have splurged on a suite for our med cruise next summer. Any hints and tips to make the most of our experience? For dinner is there a set dinning room? I know there is a separate area but didn’t know if all the main dining’s rooms get used? Also I’m sure I read somewhere about a cocktail hour or pre dinner drinks? Thanks all

We were in d736 on Azura. Despite the metal in the balcony which wasn't really an issue we loved it and enjoyed it being at the back but being able to look sideways as well. Think it was called the orcades suite.

Just back and the suite was lovely. Have taken some photos and video for you so will try to work out how to post them!! Re the thermal, all I could find out was that you could only access it if you had the spa package [emoji853]

It will be lovely to hear your thoughts on Azura. We board at the start of July and are lucky enough to also be in a suite. Can't find much info / pictures of the suites so will be interested to hear on your return. Enjoy your cruise

I haven't done it, we are on the Norway fjords in July and while researching some if the ports there were lots of posts about that excursion. If you put it into the ports section I'm sure you'll find the comments. (Sorry doing post on the move or I'd try and post some links) [emoji41]

Random question - does anyone know who the Fun Factory (kids club) team is for Infinity over the summer?
-
You could think again. Strikes do not happen every day.
Harwich is one of the most train friendly ports around. Direct service from Liverpool Street and the train stops literally in front of the ship. It would save you good money against a limosine service.
we are also on the same cruise as you - and had looked into transport options before we decided to go with the celebtriy flight options - 3 ideas for you:
1) Call Celebrity - they had offered me a bus transfer from central london (can't remember where but it was one of the train / bus stations)
2) Harwich council operate a specific train on cruise days
www.harwich.co.uk/cruise_trains.asp
3) We also found a great bus transfer that picks up from lots of
places in central london as well as the airports
http://www.londontoolkit.com/travel/harwich_fromlondon_shuttle.html
Alternatively there are lots of private companies
Hope this helps and look forward to meeting you on board

Grand replaced by Regal and now complete itinerary change
in Princess Cruises
Posted
Firstly Grand replaced by Regal for Southampton summer 2021 and now Baltic cruise completely changed for France / Spain and Portugal for exactly the same dates. Really sad as the Baltic cruise was our dream cruise and none of the other dates work due to school holidays 😞 fingers crossed we get cruising at some point ....
