When we did the Baltics there was an excellent speaker on board who talked about the history of St Petersburg and its construction.  I went to several talks about the history of the ports, the czars etc, I really enjoy that sort of things. DH preferred to sleep in.

They also did a cooking show / chefs challenge and I went to that. Ended up on stage as one of the "judgeds" in the taste testing panel. It was fun as well.

We are planning to go to Scandinavia and Russia on the Celebrity Reflection which is a 12 night sailing with 4 sea days.  Does anyone know if there is anything special scheduled onboard on the 4 sea days such as enrichment lectures about Scandinavia and Russia?  Thanks in advance.

I think that this thread has come close to naming/identifying this agency throughout the thread. I thought that was against Cruise Critic rules.

I'm wondering about the same excursion......

I am considering taking the train from Rome to Florence to Venice and possible back to Rome following my cruise. Is there anywhere I can store my luggage from the cruise in Rome for a few days so that I don't have to carry all of the luggage from the cruise on the train (travel lighter for the few days). Is this even possible? Thanks.

My husband have been looking at the various European itineraries. I originally wanted to book the Barcelona to Venice 12 night, however this is no longer offered by Celebrity. We are considering 10- 12 night itineraries and would like to include Venice, Florence, Rome and Greek islands. I have been to Europe but my husband hasn't. Also, does anyone have any ideas for pre or post cruise 3-4 day tours of Italy since we don't want to take our luggage on the trains and prefer not to rent a car. Thanks in advance.

I am deciding between the Summit and the Reflection, having been on both. The Summit has a better itinerary but the Reflection is a much more beautiful ship. Which do you choose? 7 day Southern on the Summit or the 7 day Eastern on the Reflection?

Which of the two Southern Caribbean itineraries do you prefer on the Summit? I have already been on the one which included St. Thomas, St. Martin, Antigua, Barbarados and St. Lucia and loved it. I am not sure of how good the St. Croix, St. Kitts, Dominica, Grenada, St. Thas itinerary is as I have not been on it. My husband and I are interested in going to great beaches and snorkeling. I would have rather stayed at South Beach (or Miami Beach) but all of those Marriott hotels are category 6's and I have a coupon for a free night at a category 5 (and below).

I have a coupon for a Marriott Hotel Category 5. We are going on a cruise out of Miami. I have been going back on forth on the Courtyard Marriott Downtown Miami and the Courtyard Marriott at Aventura Mall. I have read very mixed reviews about the Downtwon Miami property but it is close to the port. I have also read that it can be difficult to deal with the traffic from Aventura to the Port of Miami.l Has anyone stayed at either of these hotels. I would also possibly consider the Marriotts over by the airport if anyone has stay there. I would appreciate any help.
