  1. We just got off the Carnival Fascination on Sunday and they still appear to be working out the bugs. The earliest anyone got off was about 8:00 and they were still working through the passangers that carried off their own luggage at 9:30. For those carrying off their own luggage they allowed them to get off the boat by deck starting on 4 and working their way up.

  2. My husband and I are staying in OSJ for a few days and are thinking about going to Condado beach on our last full day. My family will be flying in on this day and staying at the Marriott Stellaris. They won't be checking in until 4:30, so we were hoping to spend the day on a beach nearby and then meet them at their hotel for dinner.

We'll be taking a cab from OSJ to Condado beach. Is there a specific spot or place we should ask our driver to drop us off at? We'd prefer to be close to the Marriott so we can easily walk their for dinner, but its not absolutely necessary. We really just want to spend the afternoon on the beach and perhaps have somewhere nearby to eat.

    Thanks!

You can be dropped off right at the Marriot and walk the block to the beach. That way you can drop your luggage off and do not have to worry about lugging it around. The beach there is very nice though when we were there last week there was an advisory not to swim because of the under tow. The kids styed close to the shore and really enjoyed playing in the waves.

  3. We are going to St Maarten in early April and wondering which beaches were open and had amenities. Sounds like Orient Beach is still pretty much destroyed?

Was in Sint Maarten yesterday and Great Bay Beach is open and we had a wonderful time.

  4. If you like to snorkle then it is a short 10 minute walk to Eden Rock Diving Center. It was a about 5 years since I was there last but the corals provide some nice canyons that you can swim in. Last time a friend that lives there took us to 7 mile beach near Calico Jack's Bar and Grill. I believe the Royal Palms has not closed yet. Other than these beach and water options the only thing we have done in the past is some shopping. Hope some of this helps.

  5. Grand Turk is my favourite family port. The beach is right there and the roped off area goes out far enough to swim to the reef. We were there in December and we were able to see a barracuda.

  6. Was also on this sailing and our family had a great time. The ship is very well laid out and we did not feel that the ship was overly crowded. The only disappointment for us was the Dining room. We also did any time dining and was disappointed with the temperature of our food on almost every evening, the cold food was not cold and the hot food was only warm. Most disappointing was the first night when my fried shrimp were soggy.

Guys Burger place and the Tandoori place were excellent and the line always moved very quickly.

If you like Mexican the Blue Iguana was ok but had very limited hours.
