  1. I know they had coffee and tea available in the lobby no charge.  I'm not sure about breakfast/restaurant.  They have an area with snacks and drinks for purchase.  I know there is nothing walkable. But with a car things are close by.

When Carnival cancels cruises due to hurricanes, is it possible to have funds transferred to another cruise rather than refunded to the original method of payment (credit card)?  We are booked on the Liberty out of Port Canaveral on September 2, which I expect to be cancelled.  I used American Express offers ($75 statement credits for two $350 Carnival charges), so I do not want credit card refunds that  might result in reversal of the $75 credits.  I intend to immediately book the next available Liberty sailing, and would prefer to transfer the money paid to the new cruise.   Has anyone been able to do that in the past?

2017 when Maria hit san Juan our cruise was cancelled. We were offered a refund( no additional  offers) and the only cruise that matched the exact dates we had already scheduled off was the Dream out of NOLA they transferred the money (the card originally booked with was paid off anyway).  We did have to pay and additional amount on both rooms since it was higher priced due to booking 1 week out from sailing. I didnt agree with that business practice.  But it is what it is.

One comedian once had us laughing so hard commenting on people who exercise and try to lose weight on the ship.

I work out at home everyday so I feel I must when I am away, but I wish I didn't!

I'm with ya. I work out 5-6 days a week at home. I enjoy it. So it's a must for me as well. I don't do it to try and work off what I ate on the cruise. I do it cause it's my life style choice.

  4. Did the spa pass in February on the bliss. The loungers are not hot, they are warm and soothing. I'm not a napper at all in daily life. Can't nap to save my life. Those loungers have power over my mind and eyes. Lol. Fall asleep everytime. The thermal suites are awesome. I will say that Bliss spa area was the noiest I had experienced over all. Lots of people trying to talk over the jets in the mineral pool. But I did enjoy it and 249.00 is what I paid for 7 days. I'd definitely do it again for 14. Btw  try the snow room after the steam room, its great!.

We did the Italian restaurant for lunch on embarkment day.  We basically had the restaurant to ourselves.  There was 10 of us.  I had the lasagna and it was very good.  We did talk to some people who did a paid dinner and they said it was the best meal they had on the ship.

Several people in our group used the spa. They had massages and nails done.  They had great things to say about both. Very pleased.  They did say they tried to sell other products but you just have to said no.  They did have specials and our group was not afraid to ask for the best deal.

Thanks! We have dinner reservations at the Italian restaurant.  And I have a spa pass for the week and most always get the over priced spa massage. Lol.

I'm sorry, but if you are actually looking at cruises covered by this sale, you are doing something wrong.  Click on the "Past Guests Exclusive Rates" block on the home page of NCL.com, log in, and look at a cruise.  The first screen you will see has the non-sale prices for each of the stateroom categories.  Click on a cabin category, and then on the next page, Dates & Stateroom, you will see that the prices for the stateroom categories have dropped to the sales prices.

No need to be sorry. I'm likely doing something wrong.. however just logged on on my phone clicked on a few random cruises and yes some do show a lesser amount on the screen after choosing that sailing. However not all .. some stayed the same. Example here. Logged on on my phone screen shot showing past guest offer . Then a picture not logged in on my iPad same sailing same price. Am I still doing something wrong? Am I crazy? Sorry for the confusion but I want to take advantage but the cruises I'm really interested in do not show the savings after logged in. Thanks for any insight.

  7. I'm not sure I'm seeing the savings either. I'm not saying people aren't saving money. I don't currently have a cruise booked but have the offer listed. When I log in the prices are the same as if im not logged in. Yes im going through past guest offerings see 175 options.   I go all the way through the mock booking til payment is required and the total amount due never changes....

I am on your same sailing and I too have made numerous requests.  I stopped for fear that I am going to board with a ton of reservations 🙂

Never heard back.  Like you I plan to try one we board.  I did get confirmation from the italian place.  Very odd.

I kinda have the same fear. I will go to the steakhouse once on board and make sure all are correct.

  9. Started cruising 2012.  Two cruises coming up this year, will put me 23 days short of  platinum.  Took a short 2 year break from carnival and cruised ncl. No current plans of cruising next year yet🤔. We dont cruise exclusively and not carnival exclusively anymore. While I'd like to be platinum i cant seem to give up all my other travels for cruising only.  And the hubs is really only good for one 7 day cruise a year and maybe a 3 nighter. I'd be up for more.

  10. The heated loungers are my favorite spot an any ship. In everyday life I'm not a napper. Couldn't nap to save my life. Those loungers do something to me. Fall asleep everytime. It's quite (supposed to be), no kids, the view, very relaxing.  Sometimes it's hard to get one. People like to read , nap and relax in the loungers. They have some sort of power over people. Lol. Dont hesitate just because your in the Caribbean.

They do allow walk ins. One night we went to the MDR did not care for the menu and walked up to the Steakhouse. We told he we did not have reservations. the place was 1/2 full. She asked us to wait at the bar, by the time our drinks were served they told us they had a table.

Thanks.  Will give that a try if I don't get a confirmation.

  12. I don't mind the idea at all. Currently I have submitted multiple requests ( at least 5)  for dining at different times and days on my upcoming Aug cruise on magic.  I haven't had a confirmation email on a single request yet. I did submit one for the Italian restaurant and received confirmation the next day. So I'm not sure what's going on with the steakhouse.  It would be nice to know for sure.
