  1. They do have single table sit-n-goes, 50 buy in for cash tourneys, 100 for Royal poker tour. The tourneys didn't get enough players most days, and we didn't get enough players to qualify for a cruise spot. The cash games were OK, a couple decent players and a lot of donkeys.

interesting. never seen any sit and goes but everytime ive been on the explorer the poker table was always jammed at night with a cash game. the free cruise tournament can get a little crazy with the rebuys/add ons. look in the casino section and theres a few topics on poker with RCI.

  2. this past march on a RC cruise me and the GF just bought some internet time to check scores and update our fantasy rosters. it was during march madness so even getting to see a score on the espn sports ticker required long periods of sometimes futile waiting. we did get treated to an actual hockey highlight on sportscenter when broduer came back from an injury and "scored" a goal. would be nice to see a game or two on the glory next month.

    LETS GO DEVILS!

  3. We had a slight issue with some of the higher end bourbons (no big deal) and found it odd that there was not a choice for top shelf margaritas (only cuervo gold was included, but you could have a SHOT of patron......go figure).

 WHHAHAAAAATTTT???!!!! i was not aware of that. hope they stock up for my trip! lol

  4. I am cruising on Mar. 15. What will it be like cruising at that time of the year????? I've only ever cruised in the summer, except for one that I left from Puerto Rico. I suppose the first night is pretty chilly so I guess most people stay inside. Dumb question but will there be heat in the cabins?? When does it start to warm up??Day 2???? This will be interesting for me but I am excited.

took the same cruise two years ago in january the day after a snowstorm. the very next day it was summer wear and people in the pool.

  5. Boy.. have I seen lots of splits/doubles...

Here's one I had on the Legend in October. Dealer shows a 5 (or 6, can't recall) and I get a pair of 7's --- oddly right when I made my highest "what the heck, throw it out there" bet of the cruise: $225. So, I split, and split, and split, and two of those ended up as doubles. All of my hands turned into junk (under 17) hands, and the dealer manages a 20 or 21 (what's the difference at that point)!

After I got my FIFTH 7, I had to snap this photo with my phone - though I did it quickly, as they were getting worked up with my apparent photo taking:

  6. best ever was on my first cruise. left the club on the explorer really late and had a hundo and an itch. only took away about 700 after a bad streak but it was a great run with lots of blackjacks to activate the bonus spin. one hand i had split four 8s (i belive one was even double downed) and had the dealer bust.

hoping for some good luck on the next cruise with some friends last time we took a trip together i ended up doing ok between some hold em cash games and BJ, my friends wife won about 2200 on slots the first night.

  7. We have 6 of us on the Freedom in May and have discussed it and will all be purchasing the beverage package. Mostly because we want to not have to worry about the bill at the end....we will at least have a good idea of what we will be spending on alcohol, AND with 3 couples, it's easier to ask for a round of drinks from the waiter and not worry about who's picking up the tab for each round.

same here! even if somehow i fall a little behind on my consumption the convienience makes it all worth it.

  8. went on the fantasy last year and they had face up blackjack. you actually see the dealers two cards! i cant remember all the rules but it was an interesting game. blackjack tourneys are always fun and relatively inexpensive. my friend and i qualified easily with a run that i wish was real money. lol pit boss said they were the highest chip totals he had ever seen for a blackjack tournament. sadly that magic didnt translate to the finals.
