  1. I do not eat red meat and the wonderful staff in Luminae has been great getting me a a very tasty pasta dish one night, a baked potato another night, and steamed vegetables along with a plain salad another night.  It seems there are many options available without the main dining room menu.  I have gotten shrimp cocktails (just with lemon) and not to mention those great deserts.  These servers are incredible and will go out of there way to work with you.  Enjoy your vacation.

We sail on March 19 for our 43rd  anniversary on Apex in a handicap accessible sky suite.

  2. Thank you. Our flight gets into Miami around 11:30  Once we get to the port, we will have to wait for a wheel chair to get into the pier so I don't know how long it will take us to get on board.  The scooter will be up by the cabin but I guess I can use the wheel chair once we get to Michaels's Club to get to Luminae.

  3. We just got our luggage tags for our December 2 sailing on Equinox and I noticed that it shows Captain's Club. Before the tags have always shown our status in Captain's Club. Is this something new/different? Thank you.

  4. You are not able to look down as the life rafts are below your cabin but you can look out. The cabin is starboard from the glass elevator so easy to access. I have stayed in the cabin with my husband in a scooter and my Mom has stayed there as well as a handicap passenger. We have never had a third passenger stay in the room so cannot answer that question. The location is very convenient and the cabin is large enough to handle a scooter and I'm sure a wheel chair. There is no ramp to enter the bathroom and there are grab bars by both the toilet and in the shower. Royal does a great job of taking care of their passengers. Access to most of the venues are also very good. Brilliance is a beautiful ship and we have found the staff very friendly. Enjoy your cruise

  5. I travel with a disabled husband. We book a handicap accessible cabin since we rent a scooter for use on board. We embark and disembark with a wheel chair. Not having to deal with the luggage at the port makes our lives so much easier because it is up to me to handle and I am no youngster. Yes, there are porters at the pier but then you have to deal with the luggage again once you get to the airport and I am trying to wrangle a wheel chair for him there as well as get the luggage checked in. The end of a cruise is always sad but the valet program made it so much smoother to handle. Please Celebrity, reinstate the program. Thank you.

  6. I have previously been deferred for a year after having been on a cruise that visited Labadee They have relaxed the rules now so that if you are there less than 24 hours, you may donate. I did run into a Zika defer for an April cruise and had to wait 28 days before I could donate You have to respect their worry about receiving tainted blood but during the summer, donations do drop so that it is nice to see the blood banks have some flexibility. Thanks to all that donate blood and especially those that rushed to donate last week in Orlando.

  7. We booked a cruise online on May 15 for September 24 on Oasis. There was only one handicap accessible cabin available for that date. Our travel agent was offering some very nice perks but we were not able to get in touch with her. We then filled out the paperwork to transfer the reservation over to our travel agent on Monday, May 16. We received a confirming email from Royal that it would take 5 to 7 business days to process the transfer.

After many calls and emails, the transfer time change was moved to 7-10 business days. The reservation was finally transferred over on Tuesday evening, May 31 (11 days) after the travel agent had left. We lost all of the perks and Royal Caribbean does seem to want to work with us for any kind of compensation.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

    Thanks.

  8. It is very disappointing to have an itinerary change after booking a cruise (our March Equinox cruise lost Dominica to St. Martin) but what about the residents that live on these islands that have been eliminated as ports of call? They count on the cruise ship revenue from tours, food, trinkets. etc. for their economy and all of a sudden, the ships are not docking at their port. I think that we all know that (most of) the residents of the Caribbean are some of the most welcoming people that go out of there way to show cruise travelers THEIR country. Celebrity needs to understand the financial turmoil they are creating with this new overnight change.
