68 days out. Getting closer. We are all checked in and should get the boarding documents mid-April. I love that we can check in early. When I was on NCL last year, we could not check in until 21 days before our sail date. I have been routinely checking flights and itinerary for any changes. So far so good.
At the end of this day, I have a lovely Margaritta having had a stressful day at work. I am imaging sitting on my balcony on the ship or sitting at any of the bars or perhaps sitting on the promenade deck on an evening.
Soon, very soon. 😊

I so enjoyed this post in particular the photo of the steps down to Alesund. We were on a bus from Geiranger and were dropped off above and walked down to our ship. Thank you

This discussion is supremely on point, the best I have read in all the years (a lot.) Thanks to all who are treating it seriously. Maybe it is not fun but so truthful. Staff was outstanding on Grand when my son and I took the 6 day-no 4 day LA to Vancouver. We enjoyed it completely.

Son and I just returned from Grand before dry dock. Food was generally good except for baked items. We missed the crisp light rolls of the past. The worst was the highly anticipated tiramisu. Unrecognizable; part of a trio; one bite was enough. Pistachio items seemed to be everywhere, green, tasteless. The other inedible thing was pork belly. A white slab totaly unlike the crisp bites I had on my last cruise. The buffet was a delightful surprise: lovely glasses of yogurt with fresh fruit at breakfast. And the many hot items to choose from were great. Still love Princess.

The Pacific Princess had an amazing library with lots of comfy chairs.

These days it's the knees that protest.
But it is not as bad on the Pacific Princess, right? I hope she will still be around.

I hope you get to go. Should be fantastic. Ours was on the Pacific Princess 2 1/2 years ago.
-
If the Pacific Princess comes back I'll be on her in a heartbeat.

totally wonderful. Thank you Captain and crew. Hope you are sailing again soon.

I think there are board games in the library and a jigsaw puzzle usually in the works.

I'm thinking about a Hawaii one way cruise on PP next year as Hawaii is on our bucket list. We love both the Regal and the Royal and have been on each several times.
I think I will enjoy the smaller size of the PP............has anyone done the Hawaii cruise on the Pacific or after being on one of the newer ship and have experiences that you would share??
Thanks in advance
Is there a one way to Hawaii? Usually it is round trip. Love the Pacific.

Booked on Pacific May 15, 2020. Third cruise on her; hope to have more?

On our Panama Canal cruise we were "upgraded" to Plaza deck next to the crew door to their quarters. If I remember correctly we were supposed to be on 8. We found out on checking in and they said our cabin was already given to someone else. Arguing was futile. But it had a porthole! compared to interior. I have to admit it was fun looking out that porthole and waving to the "mule" escorting the ship through the locks.

I am assuming the new cruise would be already paid for?

in Ft. Lauderdale?

Hi, Jeannie:you and G were in our cabin on your next leg to LA 2017. You helped make our last cruise really special. And exciting beforehand as we waited to hear if the Pacific Princess would be fit to sail over the holidays, 2016. So glad to hear you will be sailing soon.

I think of haggis and {{shudder}}. Maybe to use as a rugby football.
And chitlins--chitterlings--their one saving grace is they fit on a kabob.
But (and here is where my own ox is gored): I have aways been partial to gizzards. Mmm--deep fried, still tender, better than bacon! Just remember to remove the crop! And so endeth the paean to offal as food, having wandered off into the weeds.
Got a chuckle out of this. Love blood sausage, not haggis, gizzards or chiltlins, but have never had the gizzards deep fried. Might change my mind. Love liver also. Hot but beautiful right now in Tucson, agreed?

Fitness center is fair sized, mostly treadmills; not sure about ellipticals. There is trivia and small shows. Look at peoples reviews. Lots of stops on the British Isles so plenty of things to do. Not sure how many teens there would be.

Hi, Rick We were on the Holiday Cruise also. Second time on Pacific. First was to Alaska. Wish there were more like her.
-
I envy you. Having sailed from Bergen on the Hurtiguten that would be my perfect cruise.

Me too! (Just 73 days, 17 hours 55 minutes to go. Must. Hold. On!)
You CAN. DO. IT. You get on before we do. See you in Ft. Lauderdale!
