  1. There are no rental car places "on" Port Everglades property. Where the car is dropped off depends on who you rented from. National/Alamo are at the airport. Budget at the Quay Center, etc......

    Thanks for the info.

On the site I was looking, one can select Port Everglades as a drop-off location. But I was afraid this was misleading.

  2. Hi I looked around but could not find specifically what I need to know.

I will be in Sea Club Resort on 11/28, with a rental car. I'm hoping to leave my family for boarding and then return the car at Port Everglades, then proceed for boarding. This is doable?

Reach the port by 10:00 AM is a good idea?

I need to know if the access for the check-in facility is easy, coming in with a car. Then finding the drop-off for the rental(should be at the port, as per the rental company) and getting back for my check-in.

    Thankx!

  3. OneStrangeGuy: You explained it perfectly.

If, to used the ship's Internet service, you need a 'password', and they tell you there will be charge to used that, MAYBE this app will cause data traffic charges. But then, they will need to register your phone's MAC address, so they can charge.

I really think they charge for Internet traffic only. You connect to a 'unsecured' WiFi network, login with the user/password you got for the service, then use the Net. They charge on the 'proxy exit', not the 'router entrace'.

But, if you are able to see he WiFi net and connect to it with no key asked, this will work.

Cuddos for think about that, I will use this! Thankx.

  4. Our family is preparing to take another cruise, so to make it easier for them - particularly our Mom - to sort through these great suggestions, I've consolidated them in categories. I've posted them at our website - under 'Wish I Had Known' - where you can access them as well. There is nothing for sale at our site; it's designed to share ideas for our family and friends. Thanks to all of your for sharing these wonderful ideas.

DarryDFL, just to say thank you, your site is very helpfull.

I am trying to dig all I can about cruising, so I can relax and enjoy my first one.

And thanx to everyone that did post here, tons of good advise!
