Thanks for sharing your experience on board the Mariner of the Seas in regard to Phu My.

Just wondering if it is compulsory to pay for the Vietnam visa even if we do not want to go down. DH does not like long coach rides of over 2 hours each way. However if I am able to change his mind, are there multiple shuttles that go back and forth during the day and there is no set time to return apart from the last coach arranged by Royal Caribbean?

DH and I are going to Phu My and Laem Chabang in Feb 2014 with Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Seas. Just wondering how did you go with your shore excursions on Phu My and Laem Chabang?

I have never been there and it would be great if you can share your knowledge with us.

Thanks Mr Walker for your tips. I will do as you suggest, wait for my parents in the terminal (ship side). I was not sure earlier on that I can go into the terminal itself as I thought it is a restricted area.

I hope that Royal Caribbean can make Brisbane port one of their bases so that I don't have to fly to Sydney to catch their cruises.

Does anyone know whether there is a public phone to use inside the Grain Wharf? I am meeting my parents who are coming in from Sydney on Celebrity Millenium next Sat. in case we miss each other.

Also where is the best place to pick them up? Is it inside the terminal or in front of the terminal.

Just wondering how far is the walk from the train station to the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay? Is it difficult with luggage?
