  1. I’m an Aussie and picked a few sets up in Ikea a couple of years ago. I travel a lot for work and live four hours drive from the airport. I tend to stay in a hotel the night before flying and pack a cube with what I need in the morning pre flight. Means I can just grab that cube and don’t have to disturb anything else.

When I get to my destination take the cubes out, unzip, fold the top back and put them in the drawers, unpacking complete!

We do the same thing cruising.

I tried to pick up more recently at IKEA but couldn’t find them, but really only had a girls look where I ‘thought’ they were in the store. I didn’t look around though.

  2. Hoping someone may be able to offer some advice. Due to work commitments it appears we may not be able to travel on our Carnival Spirit cruise in August. We are inside the cancellation timeframe and therefore, would forfeit our deposit. However, as it is still 120+ days to departure, we are able to make one change, at no cost to another Carnival cruise. My question is does this only mean Carnival ships eg Spirit or Legend or could it potentially transfer to a cruise line under the Carnival umbrella? Eg Princess?

    Thanks in advance.

  3. We were at the grain port in October on our trip on The Voyager from Singapore to Sydney. My head office for work is in Brisbane and we have done all the touristy things so were more than happy to stay Onboard for the day. We met a fellow passenger who had sent emails to every car hire company whilst we were in Darwin a couple of days earlier trying to organise someone to bring a car to the port, no one would do it. On the morning we arrived in Brisbane he then rang them all and pleaded and begged and was told bad luck it wasn't on their pick up and drop off points. He was told to catch the shuttle into town or a taxi to the airport and pick a car up there and then drop it back to either/or at the end of the day. He was extremely frustrated and in the end spat the dummy and decided to keep his money in his pocket/bank and ended up staying Onboard. He was writing an email to Brisbane council, Brisbane Tourism and RCI to see if they could collaborate in getting something sorted. I don't know where his emails ended up. A number of passengers coming back weren't impressed with the shuttle buses as apparently at the end of day the queues to get became massive.

On an aside, we had the best day as that was the day we wandered the ship and took all our pics of the ship when no one was around :)

  4. That is very curious :)

Do you have any thoughts/ideas/theories why this happened ??

I think it was because changing over to being on the half hour (Darwin time) rather than the hour may have confused people even further, but no reason was given, it just 'was'. Interestingly, getting back to ship from shore time, ready for departure, was also earlier than other ports, maybe because they were concerned passengers would still be confused.

  5. We were on Voyager of the Seas in Oct/Nov. when we got to Darwin, we were definitely on ship time, not real time. The captain constantly reminded passengers about this. There were signs up at the gangway telling people what time they had to be back on board and it clearly said "ship time" not real time. Darwin was the only port we were on ship time, the rest was real time.

  6. We were at OPT in October returning on a RCCL trip. We got back into Sydney and had a disembark time for 0930. We had booked domestic flights for 1330 as people had told us not to book early. We were in the designated waiting area of the ship at 0920, heading to the gangway at 0925. Before we knew it we were on a bus and headed to the airport, arriving around 1020. Only problem was we had booked our flights a long way in advance and very cheaply so they were unable to be changed. We walked and walked and walked the airport until it was time to board. Time over again I'm still not sure I would book a flight hours earlier than we had. I think we just totally fluked it.

  7. Murders are not keep "hush hush" -- but suicides generally are.

Seeing as how you don't like things being kept hush hush -- I am wondering if you would care to disclose some details about your personal sex life???
