I am going on this trip. I am interested to see what all happens. The casino offers made it a good deal. This was my first ship I cruised on so it will be neat to see the ship again.

We could order anything we wanted in the casino in December. They have a full bar. It just takes a long time to get your drinks.

Didn’t you bring any of your own, or do you just mean in general ?
We brought our own masks, just don't like wearing them in general. But when required I do.

I got the survey also in Missouri. I do have a cruise booked for April. Do not want the booster. My family got covid after receiving our vaccine. So I have antibodies. We did a cruise in December it was ok not thrilled with masks but we wear them.

Hot chocolate with ice cream or mix a little coffee and hot chocolate for a mocha.

I was wondering if they would focus on private islands, such as half moon cay or Princess cay.

Thanks for the replies. I hope it works out.

I have a question about the bonus gift cards. We took the offer used the bonus cards to get OBC now our cruise is canceled for Dec. We only have until Dec 31, 2020 to use the gift cards. Does anyone know how that will be handled since we are not sailing?

So we called today. If we would have went with priority boarding and free drinks in the casino. We would not have gotten to pick our room. We also would not gotten prepaid gratuities. The cost was a little cheaper our way so we left it. If the other guests were not coming i think we would have tried it. I tried to take a picture of the offer. So everyone would know what I was talking about. Very limited sailings and only guaranteed rooms. Thank you everyone for your replies.

Thanks for the reply.

So looking at the confirmation it just says. Casino rate but nothing about vip, priority boarding or even casino cash. Just wanted to know what was normal before I call to see if they booked us under the correct offer. Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply. Yes we did get the fare. I will look at the confirmation closer.

The perks are VIP boarding and disembarkation, specialized service with a dedicated VIP host, VIP-only welcome aboard party, complimentary beverages while in the casino, comp entries to the slot and blackjack tournaments, private VIP-only farewell party and prize drawing, free play in the casino and special fares.
I had read about these offers for other cruise lines where your travel companion is included for the comp beverages, the tournament entries, and the prize drawings (as well as all of the other things offered)... Just curious if HAL has the same policies. Thanks for asking... 🙂
My husband and I just booked a cruise like this. He received an email. I know this may sound weird but how do you know you received all the perks? Does it say on your paper work. I did ask this question on another board but it seems like this is a better place. I couldn't find it noted on my confirmation. We are also suppose to have paid gratuities. Not seeing that either. I have sailed on Carnival and it seems like they list out perks on your paper work. This maybe cheating the system but we booked two rooms one under my name that I will share with his mother and one he will share with his sister. They told us just to switch after we boarded. Has anyone done that? I am new to this and have many questions. Thanks for any help. 😁

I received an email letting me know. I faxed my proof. It only took four days.

Thank you everyone. Thank you Kazu for keeping up with the list. Looking forward to our first HAL cruise.

We well be boarding on the day you get off. Have a great cruise. I will definitely read your blog.

Thank you for this review. I am so excited to go May 27th. I am glad you said you liked your balcony. This is our first time on an Alaskan cruise so we splurged on a verandah room. Glad you reaffirmed my decision.

Looking forward to your review we sail on the Eurodam on May 27th.

Thanks for all the advice. I hope it works out. I will be very disappointed if we don't get on this flight. I guess that is why we go a day early.

First, I am glad you called and got this taken care of before you went to the airport. If you hadn't, you stood a chance of not getting on the flight when you showed up. I mentioned to my PCC that I wasn't the only person having a problem with flights through HAL and she said she would pass that on to the flights department in the hopes they would take a better look at what they were doing.
Do you have a confirmation number or locator number for the flights? If so, you can go to the airline website, access your flights and choose seats. Or, have your TA do it with instructions on what you want.
I wouldn't want to wait till I got to the airport as you may end up split up and with the dreaded middle seat.
I would have freaked out if a got to the airport and not had tickets. Thank you for the advice. I did check Alaska air and the site states "seats for this flight are under airport control and only available during check in or see an airport customer service rep." I am thinking by now we will be lucky to have a seat at all. I am going to try to check in exactly 24 hours before maybe that will help. I know on Southwest my BIL will check in at 12:01am to get the best seats.

I am glad I called. We were not ticketed. The TA said it looked like we had tickets on his end, but we did not. Now I have a concern on the 1st leg it shows no actual seats just ticketed. The return leg we have seat numbers. We are flying in a day ahead but I would rather be on that flight. Silly question since what has been in the news but do they sell tickets with no seats? Also what would we do just sit in the airport for a different flight? I drive to ports normally. This flying thing is very different.

I do love this idea. I might suggest it for my Father in law. He is hearing impaired and also has early onset dementia. We are with him most of the time but you never know when an emergency will happen. We want to keep him cruising as long as possible.

We decided to go on the Alaska cruise June 29th. This will be our first Elite cruise. I wonder if they will do anything special for the 4th of July? When do you get information about the extras. Just booked today. Our sweet PVP. Doesn't know much about casino offers. But he is super helpful and nice. The flights are more than our 8 day cruise.
