You are correct train from Gatswick, bus fromHeathrow 

Train is very easy taxi to and from station for city if not straigh5 to airport also by local bus 

i did it from Gatwick to port for 10$

I do know wemissed Bergen got Flam instead

now with Norwegian govt cracking down on big ships it will be harder to go into some fjords 

I mentioned Eidsfjord and Pulpit rock they were exceptional 

other places with no tours made it Ho hum 

they did change ports at last minute too so go with open mind 

be aware never saw any wildlife anywhere ....nothing ...so it's very different from Alaska

re your knee been there done that ...I had knee surgery last October.....total knee replacement .... but was able to walk better by March went with my son and friend to Southern Caribbean ...walked slowly at first ...all over 

I found using Icy Hot with lidocaine helped a lot ..the roll on and cream ...I could only find it in US , icing of course plus I took Tylenol arthritis and arthroteck ...I found it better than naproxen or celebrex ask your md 

even asked docs to prescribe in hospital after surgery ....they were not familiar with it ...It's the only med that helped inflammation ..I knew about it from past back injury 

plus I bought accumassage flip flops they stimulate circulation and promote healing ...I still wear them every day esp if feet are swollen ..Adidas and Nike sell them ....Amazon too .....they hurt at first ...but eventually they do help .I swear by them 

in hospital my feet were muffins that deflated using them 

at first walk 10-15 minutes ...as you get used to them they will help 

this summer did Baltics and Norwegian fjords ...walked for miles even if left knee not 100% yet but it behaved ...In skjolden walked 6 miles ...yes very tiring but legs held fine did need big rest after 

good luck hope knees heal fast ...I have to wait till God knows when for my left knee surgery but it's mostly behaving so I won't complain 

I really enjoyed the cruise we took down the fjord to Pulpit rock frommStanvanger it was beautiful many islands waterfalls etc 

I get all the fjords mixed up but Eidsfjord was also pretty special ...very very pretty 

the only thing that got to me was grey skies and rain rain rain ...it did get tedious also fog and rain in Nord Kap was a big disappointment ..but we did fjords it was fine knowing no more big cruise ships in fjords 

I felt after Holland changed 3 ports to others no on shore excursions no busses, no taxis no trains nothing to help see what was there ..really missed the boat ... Rey disappointing .Holland must have better offers for visits or work with locals to set something up so our last 3 ports were duds .
also get more busses if demand is bigger ...I missed glacier tour sold out 😩😩😩

But other areas burning too ..oy so sad for those people

Learn fro me pack all otc for colds plus vitamins and supplements ..they do come in handy 

I believe in echinacea and elderberry vit c and d to keep bugs at bay plus sore throat lozenges .

I did this crossing in 2019 just before pandemic.I was in ov cabin on first floor .I had 2 bathrooms .Met nice people playing CLR …great fun …got in in dec pandemic closed all inMarch 

i.m sure I got Covid in November before it became real …or anyone knew what it was ….went to pharmacy inItaly was given Zithromax ….it helped 

last day near Bahamas seas were rough but otherwise crossing was very pleasant NS is nice ship 

just came  back from 24 days Baltic Norway cruise 

nS is consistent in good food ….and service ….Jose and Clare were great fun

I had mine done in october and cruised in Marc(h Yes it was painful at first but accumassage flip flops....gotten on Amazon ..... helped as did meds like arthrotek and ivy hot with lido  caine .We walked everywhere ..it was fine my only problem was stairs so I avoided them ..they really were and still are difficult but i managed .I still walk wih a cane ...my security blanket 

swimming is still a nono the waves knock me over and i.m not strong enough to get in or out of sea 

i need to do other knee but doc feels i can wait 

I phoned quite a few times over the past few weeks and finally got an upsell at a reasonable price yesterday .
prior to getting it the offers i got were outrageous full price and then some for an upgrade but Yesterday got a supervisor of sorts and she did it .Yes I have to move but its on same deck same side and balcny ….I.m happy dancing !!😍🥰😘
