    I hope you have insurance.

Example 1:  My cabin mate canceled 3 days before cruise.  It left me scrambling since i had no insurance for this short cruise.  My travel agent did her magic and had to do something to lessen my out of pocket for single supplement. So long ago, I don't remember the specifics.

Example 2/3:  Cabin mate cancelled due to illnesses.  I was covered completely for solo supplement.  I had insurance

Example 4:  Most recently, sisters had to cancel.  Three in room down to one.  I sailed solo with no additional out of pocket expenses.  Insurance picked up everything and refunded sisters @ 100% minus insurance premium.  I made them upgrade to PVP Platinum.

  3. This has probably been discussed before but I am not having any luck finding the answer. We will be doing a b2b on the Regal in March and I have done all the preliminary medallion sign in . Will our medallion have the 14 day dates or do I need to do anything special to make that happen? We will be in the same cabin.

  4. Thank you Shelly and cruiser lady. We have rented equipment from Special Needs many times but first time considering a recliner. Price I was quoted was $285 for 14 days. Worth the price for my husbands comfort. I was told they would need to clear it with Princess but it seems it has been done so shouldn’t be a problem . We always get a HC cabin. Do you remember if they removed the bed to make room? We have an inside cabin on the Regal. Thanks again for the replies. Nancy

  5. Is anyone else annoyed by the changes in the Princess website? It used to be that you could check the prices for an itinerary for multiple dates very easily. Now it takes multiple steps . The same for departure port. I like that old adage, “ If it ain’t broke don’t fix it “

I would imagine that the FCD will be $100 and not the $1.  Remember that the FCD is refundable and will earn OBC when used.

I don’t believe the FCD would be refunded when booking a cruise with non refundable deposits .

  7. hopefully, you are aware that the mini suites have a tub/shower combo which may or may not be a problem

we don't book them for that reason...

Handicap cabins have much more room than standard and the doors are wider. We bring my husbands scooter and rent an oxygen concentrator from Special needs at Sea and space is not a problem, even in an inside cabin. The shower is also much larger. We bought a scooter and find it has much improved quality of life both on a ship and at home.

  8. Today I moved a deposit and that was not a problem. I kept the booking number and so kept the OBC . No problem. However, I could not seem to make the person I was speaking to understand one question. Maybe it's me and the way I phrased the question. I tried several times in different ways and gave up and now I am hoping someone here will be of help. I understand I can move the deposit several times as long as it is before final payment. My question is,does the deposit ever become void. In other words is there a time limit on using it? Not valid after a year or whatever.

  9. As long as it was a refundable deposit, you'll have no problem. If it was non refundable, then it will cost you $100.00 pp each time you move it.

I am looking at the booking confirmation and do not see anything that tells me if it is refundable or not. Guess I will need to call Celebrity. Thank you for the info.

  10. We may have to change our cruising plans and this will be our first time moving the deposit which was made while onboard last year. Do I simply call Celebrity and have them move it to a future cruise? Is there anything I need to know about the procedure in advance. Can it be moved multiple times? Since the website is a nightmare I decided this was the place to ask questions. Thank you in advance.

  11. I understand how the cancel for any reason works as far as the funds being used for a future cruise. My question is if I book another cruise with those funds and then have to cancel that cruise do I loose that money? Anyone have experience with this situation?

  12. Not always true Tommy I booked a 15 day Panama cruise in May 2018 to set sail Nov. 2nd paid the advertised price a few weeks ago Princess started advertising there sip & sail promotion and after I called they added it on to my wife and my trip same fare

I booked the Sky 14 day 12/7/19 a couple of weeks before the sale at a good price and when the S&S sale started I was able to add the perk without a price increase. Sometimes luck matters.
