The only port BusyBus is going to that I will be at is Invergordan. And they told me that they no longer will offer that one in 2024
Thank you for the suggestion though. -
I definately want to see the white cliffs and I want to see a castle. Thank you for the suggestions!

Hi All. We are cruising to Ireland, Iceland and Scotland next May. My cruise planner has excursions available to purchase for Akureyri and Reyjavik Iceland and Belfast. Will the other ports be posted at a later date or we on our own. Ports of Waterford and Cork, Ireland, Dover, England and Shetland and Inverness, Scotland are the ports with no excursions posted.
If there are none, do any of you have any suggestions?
Thanks much!

Flat screen TV? We were on deck 7 with a balcony and we had no flat screen TV in our room. I had a power strip that has 3 USB plugs with 2 electrical power plugs. I plugged it directly into the wall socket on the vanity desk. It's a nonsurge which is what you must have if you're going to use a power strip. One guy said that his got confiscated. He went down to CS and had it out with them. He told them that it was a nonsurge power strip. They gave him one to replace it AND IT WAS A NONCOMPLIANT strip! He told them that they don't even follow their own rules. So, TPTB on board the Legend aren't that bright. I was disappointed in the ship.
What kind of tv did you have? What about the ship disappointed you? Just curious

Ok I have all but Monday 5/30 funtimes scanned.
They are in 2 parts for each day with Tuesday first. This was a Glacier Bay stop so Im not sure of your schedule, but it should go
Tues - leaving Seattle
Wed - Day at Sea
Thurs - Juneau
Fri - Skagway
Sat - Glacier Bay
Sun - Ketchekan
Mon - Victoria BC
Let me know if you can access the site. I dont know if it will work. copy and paste this link or just click it. When you get to the page, just click on the 2016-06-01 and all 12 should come up

We set sail in 20 days and we are SO excited. DH and I are in an extended aft balcony and are really looking forward to it. For those that just got back, how was the ship? And how was the weather. I have been praying for great weather for some time.
Any other tips? 10 year anniversary cruise... here we come!
Congrats on your anniversary. First let me say that our group was very low maintenance. We are not real picky. With that said, the the ship was good. Some say its gaudy, but to me I didnt care what it looked like. It was fine to us. Buffet food not real good, but there was always something to eat. Dining room was very good. Even on cruise elegant night there were many dressed down. It's so casual, which we like. The second elegant night there were a bit more dressed up but we didnt.
Our problem is we didnt bring enough tshirts. We didnt wear many of our nicer shirts. Cant tell you about the entertainment since thats not our thing. We had NO rain the entire cruise. Ketchekan was very cloudy and a bit of mist. Its like we were "in" the clouds.
I hope you have a fabulous time

I will try to get the funtimes copied before you leave. Would you like just the schedule of events ( very compact) or the whole thing. I will try both.
For Smicki,
My son was using a knee scooter and we informed out stateroom attendant. He told us that when they sounded the alarm for the drill to stay in our rooms and they came and got us. We were taken to an indoor room with seats. You dont have to take your life vest so it was a comfortable place to stay. Just inform them before the drill.

3 of us bought the social package for 25.00 for our 7 day cruise. It worked great with messenger. We just formed a group and all messages went to all of us. We did have times when we couldnt get the wifi at all, but for the most part it worked quite well. You can even make phone calls on messenger if the other party has the app.
It would have been quite a pain to log off and on different devices all the time as you have to go to their carnivalwifi website and use your sail and sign card number and your birthday every time

Just bought a blue towel and a yellow serenity towel and they were 22.00 each. Bought while we were on the cruise. Nice quality.

I have never figured out what the "American Table menu" is. We did see 1 comedian and he was funny but didnt go to shows. I do have the Fun Times saved if anyone is interested

We just got home yesterday and yes, in our stateroom there was a flatscreen with a usb that we used all week. I also had a 3 plug extender for the desk outlet and we just swapped out phones, ipads etc as needed. We had 4 adults with lots of electronics and we were fine. Dont know if it matters but we were in a premium balcony.

We just returned from Alaska on the Legend. We purchased FTTF and I have mixed feelings. We tendered in Juneau and met before debarkation at a location just for us. HOWEVER, Carnival screwed up and after being an hour late to port they also forgot about us. This was confirmed by the carnival girls instructing us. So we ended up missing part of our excursion. It wasnt a huge deal but just letting you know its not a total guarantee. The service desk was a huge plus. Never had to wait in a line. I would buy it again.

Carnival instructions say it doesnt have to be in color

Just returned last night from Alaska cruise on Carnival. It was stunning. We booked a private whale watching tour in Juneau which was great and we rented a car in Skagway and drove to Emerald Lake. There were sooo many places to stop and take pictures and we saw the tour buses and vans just drive by. I do agree that from Seattle to Juneau on our sea day was a bit of a waste of time however for us having points on Southwest, flying in to Seattle was our option. We did see Glacier Bay and it was magnificent. Saw many many whales from our balcony on the way up and back. The naturalist is really great letting you know what areas to look. If you have any specific questions, just ask.
On a side note, we had NO rain the entire trip. We got very lucky

My adult son has broken his fibula and we cruise the end of May so Im reading this with great interest. He does have a knee scooter but I think I will go ahead and rent a wheelchair just in case. The cruise it to Alaska and now Im wondering if he will even get his long pants to fit over the cast. Thanks everyone for the suggestions and good luck to the OP

Oh wow, thank you. Ok I best get onto it then. Is there anyway to tell if we will be tendered in Juneau?
I booked our May 26th cruise last year and only got the info that we are tendered in Juneau a couple of months ago.
-
We are tendering in 1 port. We have booked an independent tour. Do we still get priority on the tender boats and how do we go about letting them know.

I get motion sickness very easily. I have taken 2 cruises to the Bahamas and 1 cruise from Florida to the western caribbean. I took bonine on all of these cruises, however I never had to take it. I only actually took one on the very first cruise, not knowing how bad it would be. To be fair we had pretty calm seas on all three but like the others have said, the ship is so big its nothing like being on a fishing boat, etc

We used Moby Dick tours in 2013. It was 45.00 then. They did a fine job. It wasnt a catamaran though if thats what you exclusively want. We did the sting rays and then snorkled the reef. I would use them again.

We are staying downtown, so we need to get to the hotel, get to Pier 91 and then back to Seatac from the cruise.
-
We are flying in to Seattle with a stay downtown for a few days then off on our cruise. Could someone tell me the cheapest/easiest way to get from all points. I am worried about how much luggage all four of us will have. Easy enough to handle on the iight rail? Will it all fit in a cab?
Thanks much for your responses.
