I like to book refundable fares, and compare prices of multiple sailings. I've just discovered that with changes on the RC website, you now can only see the refundable price after entering the guest names, etc. This makes it very difficult to compare various cruises.
Does anyone know a website that will show Canadian refundable prices, without having to jump through hoops for each one?
Try googling Cruise Ship Canada. Some Canadian companies may come up. Also, Princess and Celebrity sites will price in Canadian dollars.

It is a coin size object that will act as your sail and sign. It can open your door and be used to charge items. That is what they told us in April. Somehow it will also let Princess your likes and dislikes. I read somewhere that there is a charge for it but not sure on that.

Do any of you know the contact information for the Princess Casino? I thought there was a website that you could submit questions through but now I can't find it.
Thanks

Main dining rooms and the Princess Theater are in the same places on the Regal as they are on all the Grand class ships. You should have no problem.
The dining rooms are about mid ship and the theatre is at the front so not too bad of a walk.

Did you get the form that Princess has on their site?

Just off Regal on Sunday. Early dinner was 5:30pm which left lots of time to make 8 pm show. Most nights shows were 8 and 10. Sometimes, for different reasons they may change but still had no problem getting there.
It was difficult to make the early the early show under the stars as they started around 7 or 7:15pm and most people got there and reserved their seats.
I must say the shows in the theatre were very good. Loved the music and singing in the Bravo show and they also had the Unexpected Boys the last night and they were very entertaining.

Does anybody know of a site where I could look for an entry into the slot tournaments. There is one on the Dream Oct 30 and also the Magic Nov 12/16
Thanks in advance

We used Cortrans in May and were very happy. Go to their website and see if you are at a hotel they service.

How many Carnival cruises have you done?
Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
We have completed 16 Carnival so far. By the end of the year we will add 3 more. We have done 1 RCL, 2 Princess and 3 on lines no longer around.

We find it cheaper to fly from BUF, hate flying out of Toronto even though we live in Hamilton

We also prefer Buffalo but I was wondering about the Carnival flight costs versus booking on our own.
I thought you were from Hagersville as per your info.

Has anyone used this for flights to ports in the US or only overseas? We asked our PVP about booking air with her flying either from Toronto or Buffalo to Orlando and she said we would do better booking ourselves.

It is Oct 30 out of New Orleans on the Dream. We booked the other day as I was given an entry while on the Magic in May. We are hoping to win one for my DH while on Legend in July but if not hopefully we will be able to find one on here.

I am checking if the Sears card actually gives transaction at the doing daily rate if it does it would be the best way to charge as there would be no exchange fee as posters have stated.
. Sears Financial MasterCard
This retail rewards product provides 2 Sears Club points for every dollar spent at Sears, one of Canada's largest retail chains, and 1 point per dollar charged elsewhere. The card has no annual fee and charges no foreign transaction fees.
Just got the Scotia Momentum MasterCard which is replacing the Sears MasterCard. Gives cash back and still no foreign transaction fees.

They still have the card. They have just changed the point system. It is now a separate card.

I remember a discussion re how to book in Cdn $. I was on phone the other day with RCL and they asked which airport we would use. Since we are between Toronto and Buffalo we can use either. So if they put in Buffalo they only give American prices but if they input Toronto we can book in Cdn dollars.
Just FYI

I saved this from a previous poster re buying OBC with Celebrity.

We picked Sears because we do shop there and therefore use the points towards purchases. Honestly, I never thought about them closing but I guess if they do we will just have to go and use any points and reapply for a different card.
-
How does casino work on RCL? Do you put your card in machine and transfer money from OBC onto card to gamble and then put it back up if/when you win?
On Carnival that is how it is done. Then if you transfer your winnings or if you have credit left from what you transferred down you can go to the casino cage and get the cash.
ie: transfer $100 from account to card in machine you can go over to cage and get $100.00 cash, no fee.
That is how we were hoping to use the OBC we bought.
If this is not the case I guess I will have to go back in and edit my check in and remove the credit card we are going to use?????
Thanks
Magicat: we are flying to Quebec on the 19th. I wanted to drive but Rick didn't, he won.

Just FYI as I am sure a lot of you already know.
Most credit cards charge 2.3% foreign exchange charge. We have started using a Sears MasterCard for US expenses as they do not apply this charge. There are a few others but this is the one we use.

yes we are on the same sailing in Oct. We are from Caledonia just south of Mount Hope.
-
I purchased $200 US for $220 CAD and received an email confirmation.
I logged onto the R C website but can't find it on my profile. Where can I find my OBC?
Thanks!
I asked for a confirmation and received an e-mail showing my 2 requests. The rep did say there would be a card in our cabin as well. I will take the e-mail with us.

I got the link for this page from my Snowbird CC page and after reading through I called this morning and received $499.00 for $548.90
I'll be calling back to get more.
Love the info I learn on these pages.
PS I have heard of people doing this on Princess as well, are there any other cruise lines with this offer????

Does anyone know if Patrick's tours pick you up at the dock???
Yes. Patrick was there when we got off the tender and he directed us to the pavilion where we paid and waited for everyone to join.

We are also looking for a hotel in Sydney at the end of October. We are looking in the area of CBD/Haymarket. Around $150-$200 a night. Does anyone know of any hotels with airport shuttle as well?
