    Review of Sapphire Beach

    I am a super planner so trying to scope out our day. We understand that there are better beaches but taxi, water taxi, taxi options get expensive and time consuming so looks like consensus is that Sapphire is best option from WICO (Havensight). We are on Carnival Dream from 11-7 so does this sound right:

     

    11AM-12PM Get taxi right outside port (is there a specific line or is it like nassau where you just grab someone inside the port?) then its $10 pp so our family of 4 is $40. About a 15 min ride right?

    Enjoy the beach until 5ish and grab a cab to Paradise Point for the best pictures? Any idea on this cost?

    6ish - take tram back down to port and board ship by 6:30. Purchase tram ticket from Carnival excursion desk.

     

    Does this sound about right for our day and timing?

    Just got the official word from Carnival - hope this helps:

    We cannot predict which ships will be pilot testing the new internet programs. Carnival has been testing these enhancements on different ships for short periods of time but the overall program is not ready for full deployment. The majority of the Carnival ships are currently offering the same internet prices as listed in the current program and in the FAQs on
    . The prices can vary from cruise to cruise based on time of year, satellite availability, itinerary, and ship size. At this time, the program is still being tested so pricing and plan details are not finalized.

    "I wish I knew before..."

    in First Time Cruisers

    A few weeks back I was reading a thread that was about first time cruisers, I wish I knew. I think there was many comments about referring back to this thread but there was one reply that was really great - it was rather long but in dark bold blue and had GREAT responses. Been searching to find it again and just cant find it - anyone remember or can find it - can PM me if better than reposting
